In summary

National Road Golf Course is often praised for its affordability and suitability for beginners, offering a straightforward layout with few hazards, which makes it an enjoyable experience for casual players. The staff generally receive positive feedback for their friendliness, although there are occasional reports of inconsistent pricing and unfriendliness. Some visitors note maintenance issues and the flat, open nature of the course, which may not appeal to those seeking a more challenging or scenic golfing experience.

I recommend this course to a beginner. Course map is simple and it's helpful to do a course drill. One thing I feel bad is that green speed is very slow as grass on green is too tough. I enjoyed my golf sunday at this course.

5 stars based on value! Is this a country club? Nope. Not even close. It is nicer than some “country clubs” I’ve played though. I paid $34 on a Sunday morning(18 w/cart), translation- cheap. The course isn’t always perfect, but in all reality it faces all the same issues of other courses? If you crave hills, extreme curves and a variety of terrain look elsewhere. It’s flat and mostly straight, get over it, it’s eastern Ohio … I love this course, I’ve played it at least 20 times now and will continue to do so. Relaxed atmosphere, with good pace. The staff have ALWAYS been friendly and kind, som…

Great price and a good place for beginners. Man at the front was pretty disrespectful to my group (assuming because we are younger). They were pulling different prices for the course + carts, one lady said it came with the course, the man said it was an extra 26 dollars. I feel like they just charge based on how they feel that day since their register is just like a calculator.

5 stars because of the price and the staff was very nice. My phone was dying and I asked if they could put it on a charger while I played the 1st 9. Overall the course was in good condition. They were doing some repairs to hole 18 but it was clearly marked and we were told by the staff. The cart we had was older and only did about 7mph but hey who's in a hugh rush when playing gold. Had a great time and shot an 84. Thanks

Decent little course. Lots of wind, no real challenge, playing down and back in straight lines

So I am not the best of golfers and only play for fun and spend time with my dad. This is really the best course for that. It is not super busy so you don't feel rushed, and you can choose to play the front nine or the back if only going to play 9 holes. There are no sand traps or huge water obstacles. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Nice open course for beginners. Frequent maintenance problems. Unfriendly staff, especially after an evening round. I've had staff chase me in the parking lot exasperatedly to retrieve our cart before we'd unloaded clubs, after finishing a late round (while other golfers were still on the course with carts).

Fun and friendly, been here few times. Great beginner course not many traps or water but very nice layout. My 13 yr old even came out to the range and had a good time. Thanks crew

Very nice little starter course. No bunkers and the only water hazard is on 16 and 17. A few holes with out of bounds possibilities. Very small postage stamp greens that are surprisingly challenging.
