In summary

Raymond Memorial Golf Course is often praised for its well-maintained fairways and greens, with many golfers appreciating the course's layout and the friendly staff. The course is recognized for being a good value and a popular choice among public courses in Columbus. However, some visitors have noted issues with slow pace of play and customer service, particularly regarding tee time bookings and communication. The driving range has also received mixed reviews, with some finding it limited and in need of improvement.

It was wet so you had to stay on the cart path. No problem. The issue was the cart would just shut down and say you were off the cart path. Which we weren't. The clowns in the clubhouse could not figure out how to disable the defective program.

I used a driving range. there is no point in watching a game play. It's better to practicing one more swing. There is no chance to swing for driver. However it's enough to play irons. I believe it, It's just for the sake of it. ⛳️ 🏌️‍♂️ ⛳️ 🏌️‍♀️ ⛳️

Called on a Monday morning to ask if they had room for a single or double at 10 AM, the gentleman that answered was extremely short and rude said “I have no way of doing that without a cancellation” which is completely understandable, I said I understand thank you and he hung up on me. I don’t understand how some people are given the responsibility of customer service and don’t understand it. My organization with Ohio State is using this course for a Golf Scramble at the end of the month and we had high expectations for a future partnership. I guess they don’t want that.

Played this week. Course was in country club shape. Of course, the tee boxes are chewed up, but that's to be expected. Everything else is in near pristine shape. Fairways are true, healthy, and dense. Greens aren't dry, and are very well taken care of. Traps were a little wet, but were maintained excellent in terms of edging and overall appearance. Will definitely be back.

Called to ask about Tee Time availability and had a couple other questions. The guy who answered was extremely rude and hung up on me before I could even get a word out. If you’re going to call to ask any questions definitely don’t lead with what tee time you plan on coming because apparently that makes him mad.

Always extremely crowded and doesn't enforce pace of play at all. I've played here 10+ times and I've never played a round in under 5 hours. The few times I've gotten lucky and played the front with minimal waiting, the course ended up squeezing new foursomes between groups off the back nine which causes a complete log jam. This has happened multiple times. The price is absurd considering the condition of the course and how boring the layout is. Most holes are flat and dead straight with parallel holes running next to them. The greens always have dozens of unfixed pitch marks. The only reason…

Played 18 with two work buddies today. Fairways and tee boxes are tip top shape. As of today, the fairways are almost too good. Ball is sitting up beautifully, and doesn’t feel like a tight lie at all. Greens are too slow for my game, but are in good shape and roll well. This was my first time out this year and was stoked to shoot 92 from the whites. It’s a city course… but you can tell they care about keeping the course playable.

I haven’t played the course but the driving range is awful. I think I’m worse at golf from hitting balls there.

I only used the driving range and it was AWFUL. No mats, no grass, just dirt as hard as concrete. And it’s only 170 yards long, so irons only. Also no chipping practice area.

They are doing an outstanding job. Municipal courses have some bad reputations, but this is not one of them. A great value for a course that is in remarkably good shape. The amount of play it gets. a unique Robert Trent Jones design with extra par threes that were designed to help speed up play.

Well maintained course. Easy to navigate. Great staff. Totally worth it for the price!

It has been at least 20 years since I had last been there, back then it was at best a beater course, now it is worthy of any and all outings that one might want to plan. Excellent greens, the whole dang course is very well maintained, and the staff are awesome, and the course mascot Jester? A young Yorkie male is adorable.
