In summary

The Ohio State University Golf Club receives high praise for its beautiful course layout, well-maintained conditions, and excellent amenities, including friendly and helpful staff. The Scarlet Course is noted for its challenging design and top-notch condition, while the Gray Course is recognized for being well-kept and accessible. However, some visitors express concerns about the high price point, occasional slow greens, and a few negative interactions with staff, which detracted from their overall experience.

Track condition for the price was a little disappointing. The layout and landscaping is beautiful though. $150 for the round on Gray. Idk if I’d rush back at that price point. The amenities and service were incredible. Carts were freaking excellent. Just nice touches of service all over the place. I’d have gone 4 stars but the service and interaction with every staff member was above and beyond. Laney in the clubhouse bar, the pro who helped us out, the starters. Everyone was awesome. Definitely a beautiful layout. Proud Buckeye here. So it was overall really good.

What a gift! I felt honored and challenged to play the venerable Scarlet Course that was in beautiful condition on a fabulous day with a true ambassador of the great game of golf!

Fabulous track. A few of the greens were a little beat up, but the corn ferry tour event was just a few weeks ago, so understandable.

Played yesterday for the first time, no overstatement: one of the best days of my life! Great course, friendly and helpful staff, perfect weather and a day with my daughter (alumni), son and wife! So grateful, thank you.

2024.6.23. Played the scarlet course. In terms of quality and difficulty, it is pretty high up there with long distance, so many bunkers in play, and hard-to-read greens. The layout and terrain is no much unique nor scenic though.

Not the most challenging, nor easiest course. Well-cared.

Played Scarlet course and it is in top notch shape. Greens are rolling great after aeration a few weeks ago. Rough presents more challenge of you're off the fairway. Clubhouse food and service were great after the round as well.

I had an opportunity to play Scarlet on July 2nd. The layout is excellent. Lots of great holes and extremely fun to play. I give it 4 stars because the greens, while blemish free, just don't run that fast which detracts from the experience. Otherwise, the place is awesome and the people are super friendly. Excellent customer service

Played a round of golf at The Ohio State University Golf Club in Upper Arlington, OH w/ some friends and we had a great time. I made a donation to some charity via an auction for the round of golf for four + carts on the Gray course. I had the winning bid. Best donation I've made. The staff were friendly and happy to assist. Great day, great friends, and a great experience overall. Was able to grab a hotdog & chips in the bar before our round. And had a couple beers after our round to cap a good round for myself (87). Course was in great shape. The driving range was open and it too was in grea…

The Scarlet golf course gets 4.5 stars. The man who manages the range was very rude both days and then overstepped his jurisdiction causing problems with the course starter’s decision regarding carts. Dealing with him was enough to keep me from ever returning to Ohio much less OSU golf course. Nice course though.
