In summary

Griffin Gate Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, unique layout, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both locals and visitors. Guests appreciate the challenging mix of holes and the overall condition of the greens and fairways. However, some visitors express concerns about the high cost relative to other courses in the area, occasional management issues, and slow pace of play. Despite these criticisms, many still recommend it for its enjoyable golfing experience.

Course was in fabulous shape! Not just for October, but for anytime. Greens were slick and true. Fairways are tight, lush, and green. The rough was punishing and deep.. a real motivation to keep it in the short stuff. Crazy mix of yardage on the Par 3's, running from 70 to 220yds. Good mix of risk reward holes. It was fun and I'm excited to play it again.

I live where there are a lot of different styles and prestige, so with that being said the price was a little on the high side of what I would of paid at a similar course. Outside of that the course was very playable for any skill set. Then fairway are cut nicely and so were the teeboxes and greens. For a many bunkers there are younwould think that they were a little tougher to play out of. What I mean is they were so hard that any hit would do. Good or bad. The rough were also cut to allow you to play from it. Wish they had a few more beer selection. Bathrooms were also kept well clean. Great…

Solid golf track!! The front overall is set up easy so score when you can, the back gets tight and OB left and right along with some water hazards... Decent little bar and the hotel is nice for the rates

Way too expensive for what it is. Let's start with what is good; tee boxes and greens were in great shape. Fairways were terrible with weeds all in them and some bare spots as well. No driving range for warmup just some nets to hit into. It was a really hot day and no drink cart or water stations. Compared to all of the other courses in the area this should be about 1/3 of the price. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Course was in excellent condition. Vincent was very accommodating to us as hotel guests. Came from out of town to stay at the Marriott and play this course and it was absolutely worth it. Would recommend to anyone coming through Lexington area

Nice course. Shorter and quite manageable. Cost is a little high for what you get, but not too bad. Greens are consistent. A smell around the back 9 by the bog area .. par 3. Whew. Besides that, it is a fun place to play.

The course was in pretty good shape but the staff was less than helpful with accommodating my son and I while we were staying at the resort. They claimed to be booked all day on both days we tried to play but we watched as big gaps of time passed with no one teeing off. We hung around for a while in hopes of sliding on if a group no-showed and there were several opportunities to do so but the pro shop ignored it. Really frustrating considering the fact that we chose this resort for our five night stay in Lexington. They seem to cater to the members of the golf club over resort guests. We’ll be…

Course was a lot of fun. Pace or play was great, the layout was unique, tee boxes were flat and nice, greens were well-maintained. Took one star off because there was a lot of road noise, the bunkers weren’t maintained at all, no noodles in the cups during the pandemic, and they did not have the cut grass blown off of the fairway when we played (the entirety of each fairway was filled with grass clippings, something a nice course should take care of).

Course was in great shape however the person running the course was not. We were never informed that after 3 you could only stay on course til 7, when just days before we played til 7:45. The person running the club house only told us after the fact. When we asked for a rain check because we only got thru hole 10, he became very rude about it. I will not be playing this course in the future and will be sure to tell people to do the same.

Great place to stay. Grounds. Golf. Staff…..Until I met Taylor at the bistro bar. Service is key in the industry and this is not personal. Had a wonderful day until I met her. Truly appreciated the attitude and ignorance.
