What People Say

In summary

Forest Park Golf Course is appreciated for its convenient location, friendly staff, and picturesque layout with challenging yet enjoyable holes. Many golfers commend the recent improvements to the tee boxes and the overall effort put into maintaining the course. However, some visitors note issues with slow pace of play, underwhelming greens, and limited amenities, such as water availability on the course.

By coming here you already know that you are not playing the longest or most challenging golf, but at least you will find an early tee time on the weekend, with a friendly welcome, very decent greens and a playing time of less than 4 hours 30 minutes.

Great golf course in queens. Love the landscaping, the Japanese maples are beautiful. Challenging course but very fun and beautiful. Genuinely love playing this course whenever I can!

Not the prettiest of golf courses, and more expensive than beth page BUT it is easier to book. Got a pretty hard time from the bar staff when we were there but maybe they were having an off day. Overall it's good enough to go for a hit, but I'm not rushing back.

The place was alright. The roads going was rough. But thats not their fault...it will be repaired and the potholes were because of the snow, etc. The only thing was, the bathroom could be better. The snack bar was not very expensive, and.the lady behind the counter was pleasant.

I wish I can give 0 star, golf course is really bad shape, tee area is bad, fairways bad, greens are worst to play. Poor management, supervisor or manager has to take better steps to improve the conditions. We are paying bunch of dollars to play, totally waste of money. Will never return to play unless they take care good care of the course.

Very regular NYC parks golf course. Many holes tee off directly in striking distance of the previous hole. At first I hated it but after a while it becomes kinda fun hearing so many people yell “fore!!!” while you and the group all duck for cover. A course with character ❤️

Easy going course. A few people around, gets packed on the back 9 as the courses play next to each other. Only a couple of water hazards, otherwise no real traps. Course has a fair bit of water logging, but only one or two greens are impacted. Great casual course.

Played October 12th, 2023 Nice track, a great scoring opportunity for better golfers and a relatively easy place to get better at the game. Forest Park is your average city course. At just over 6,000yds from the back tees, it is shorter in length than what you find at a normal course. A major issue which appears to be *finally* being addressed is the tee boxes. On many holes, it has literally been dirt for many years. However, beautiful looking tees with fresh sod are just a few weeks away from being ready to play! The greens were not exactly in the best condition they could be. They were…

The conditions are VERY good for NYC. The layout is fun as well. I can tell there is a lot of effort being put into this course. Love it! However, I went on a Monday and it was a 6.5 hour round... No ranger or efforts to speed up play. More importantly there was no way to get water or food on the course at all. I had to drive all the way back to the pro shop to avoid dying of heat exhaustion. Lastly, for one person driving a cart on a weekday, it seemed expensive.

Great place with good variety of holes. Back 9 can get a bit crazy with 3 hole all crossing each other. Customer service was great. Lost phone on 12 and spent 40 minutes looking. Grounds keeper gave me his phone so that I can maybe hear the ringer. Great service and will be back.

Love Forest Park gold course. It is very challenging for a course so close to Manhattan. Very challenging with trees all around. I love walking it. Makes for a great work out. Everyone is super nice at the clubhouse
