In summary

Clearview Golf Course is praised for its scenic views, improved facilities, and friendly staff, with many noting the lush fairways and challenging layout. The course has undergone significant improvements under new management, although some visitors still report inconsistent conditions on certain greens and tee boxes. Common criticisms include slow pace of play during busy times and occasional issues with customer service, particularly regarding tee time management and communication.

The busiest golf course in the northeast! Says I. They do a decent job moving people. The course was in B+ shape for having a big thunderstorm the night before. Definitely some messed up tee boxes. And some greens were being aired out. But fairways were in ok shape. Very green. It’s not the course’s fault I three putted on +8 holes.

This golf course has undergone a tremendous transformation since the management changed. The facilities are better than ever, and the staff is friendly and treats us like family. The through-the-way is excellent, and the deep rough challenges us. We extend our deepest gratitude to Manager Ellis, and may you be blessed with an even more beautiful heart.

Beautiful day today and Beautiful course to play. This course is well maintained , clean and have Beautiful views. Fairways and greens are nice. Golf cards are clean. Staff is very nice and helpful. It's very busy but no wait, golfers moving with good time. Refreshment cart making trips to all holes. Clubhouse is nice, so is bar. Restrooms are clean. Will be back to play another round here.

I played a public course in Bayside, Queens. Overall it’s fine—easy to get to, and the view toward the bridge adds a little character. It works for a casual round: layout is straightforward and there’s space to warm up. Still, a few things hold it back: weekend pace can drag with long waits on the tees; conditions are inconsistent—worn tee boxes and thin spots on fairways and greens; clubhouse staff can be curt. If you just want a local round in Queens, it does the job, but if you care about sharper conditions and a quicker pace, I’d look at other nearby options.

A great course whose layout offers a few challenges. However, due to its popularity, you will encounter long waits. Best time to start is literally at the top of the day. I played this in late February and it was well maintained. We encountered a 30-minute frost delay, but overall, it was not bad. If you book via the American Golf website or via Clearview Park GC, you will receive a lunch and a drink voucher with your play—I have not had the opportunity to enjoy this as I booked via GolfNow. Parking was free, but I was told during spring to fall seasons, there is a parking fee (not sure of the…

NYC-owned scenic track with challenging Par 3 and Par 4 holes [10] Course notes: This was formerly a private track; Some greens including hole # 7 were in bad shape w/ barely any grass in certain areas about 8x8 feet wide. [11] Course notes: Greens were benign with no multiple level areas or severe breaks. [12] Course notes: I was thrilled hitting shots over water on two very challenging and uphill Par 3 holes over 170 yards away with water in play (front water hazard). [16] Course notes: Parkland style course with benign rough was a significant factor to offset my low FIR and better than a…

almost 6hr round is inexcusable even for a saturday morning tee time. no ranger in sight to do anything about slow groups. many tee boxes and greens are in atrocious condition to add insult to injury. will not be coming back to this place.

Its like bethpage black but 100x worse. Everyones watching on the first tee but it’s because they’re backed up 2 hours. Also why is there 4 groups waiting on a par 3?

Under new management the tee box & greens condition are getting better. Couple holes still need some time to grow but overall is much better than before. Really don't understand why those players play every day but never replace the ball marks. Also some fairway bunkers missing rakes.

Overall good course and good service. Just had one incident that I wasn't too happy with. Had a 550 tee time so I showed up early 520 which is pretty standard. Went to get a cart and was told to join a group of 3 already teed off and walking away. I haven't even gotten my bag on the cart at this point. Mention my 550 and was told since I was single and there was 3, to got tee off. Just didnt make sense. Mention to the desk later and was told if I hadn't gone , that there was not spot since the groups behind where all full. Made no sense since I was book at that time instead of a walk on. Other…

Front desk condescending when asked about water (no machine outside). No driving range despite web site details: employee claims a "misunderstanding". Course layout open for beginner golfers. Ranger will yell if 2 secs behind foregroup but just watches terrible golfers hit 8 balls from the tee.

They did a lot of renovations before the summer, which improved the coarse green and tee box conditions. But now, after a summer long season, some of the greens and tee boxes are getting really bad, sandy, and at times unplayable.
