In summary

Waterford Golf Club is praised for its challenging layout, featuring three distinct 9-hole courses with a mix of tight fairways and water hazards that appeal to golfers seeking a test of skill. The staff is frequently described as friendly and accommodating, and the facilities, including a practice range and clubhouse, are well-regarded. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the course's condition, citing issues with greens and fairways, as well as the pricing, which some feel does not match the quality offered.

I have visited Waterford Golf Club twice. My experience playing there and be in touch with the pro shop stuff has been great. Very nice, professional polite people. The course is great. The greens are amazing. This is a challenging course. Pretty narrow in sop spots (a lot of spots), plenty of water and some trees to avoid. They make them interesting to play. In addition, the surroundings are beautiful. A lot of nature and places to take awesome pictures. When I am back in Venice I will be definitely back.

We played the Turnberry and Sawgrass nines at Waterford Golf Club and had a great round. Both courses offer a nice mix of tight fairways, water hazards, and well-protected greens that demand solid shot-making. Sawgrass felt a bit more technical, while Turnberry was more open but still challenging. Course conditions were very good — fast greens and well-maintained fairways. The atmosphere is relaxed, staff was friendly, and the facilities are clean and functional. Definitely a good choice for a fun, well-paced round in the Venice area.

Price is outrageous for the quality of the course. $205 for 18 holes and a replay round. This is an average to below average course with most fairways and tee boxes in poor condition. Pace of play was fine. Service and food in the restaurant was good. A six pack of domestic beer on the course was $35 in a plastic bag - overpriced. This should be a $70 round of golf at best, even in peak season.

I had a fabulous time playing Waterford. There are 27 holes broken up into three 9-hole courses. The staff was very friendly and accommodating on check in. The carts, practice range, and course were all in great shape. The Sawgrass course was both fun and challenging. Our back 9 was Gleneagles which provided a different, yet still worthwhile experience. A return visit in the future is definitely in my plans.

LOL... $106 and one of the worst courses I've ever played. Greens had weeds on them and Tee Boxes were sand and dirt. People were nice but we couldn't wait to get off the course. I honesty don't think they have a Superindendant/ Greenskeeper.

Both first time playing this course.. Made a quick turnaround tee time, got to Waterford quite early to find out they have a driving range to practice on. My dreams were answered. I then found out that the golf pro Charlie Darbyshire is my cousin's brother-in-law. He was in attendance on this Friday. We shared a laugh. What a gorgeous course. Best one I have ever played at...My courses are limited..F.Y.I. Scott and I enjoyed 9 holes on Gleneagle. 4 top in front of us and a pair behind us. Never felt pressured. Beautiful course. Highly recommend. I had a birdie putt on 4. One rotation shy. 9-18…

The course is spread out around housing so some fairways are narrow. Carts are highly recommended due to the distance between some holes. Course is well maintained except for the sand traps... like a COVID thing. Some of the grass is pretty tall.

Challenging course, some difficult tee shots. Course was in decent condition. A little overpriced, but not terrible. Pace of play was pretty good.

Great course, great staff. Watch out for punks that steal wallets from your cart while hitting range balls. Got mine and one other yesterday. Luckily they are on camera with clear pics of their faces. *WANTED*

Paying $49 to play in the condition of the course was unreasonable. The fairways were in bad shape with many dead spots and lots of places where the sprinklers had left giant wet places. Tee boxes were also in poor shape and the greens were the worst I’ve seen since playing here for the past 30 years. The pro shop was nice as was the man working the desk but we were extremely disappointed in the overall shape of the course. I hope this is a one off situation but have talked with others who have also noticed a decline in a once beautiful golf course.
