Calusa Lakes Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, beautiful layout, and friendly, accommodating staff. The greens are often highlighted as being in excellent condition, contributing to a positive playing experience. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the high greens fees, slow pace of play, and lack of amenities like GPS on carts, which detract from the overall value for some players.

First time playing here. Nice course, friendly staff. It was chilly out all morning so it took away from the nice experience. Not the cheapest course to play either. Well I tried this course again...what a difference a Beautiful day makes. We love this course. Challenging, long and in great condition. We both shot our best games to date. 4-16-23 fourth time on this course this season. We definitely enjoy the course. Second time eating in the course's restaurant. I had the turkey/ham club with fries. 3-3-24 first, last time playing this overpriced course. I paid 93.00 a year ago. Today was 128.…

Jay and the rest of the staff were great! My 5 year old son and I played 18 the first day, they treated us very well and especially my son. He had a great day. I called and asked if it would be ok if I brought the rest of the family out? My wife, 2 yr old boy, 4 yr old daughter, and my 5 yr old. They set us a tee time for the afternoon. We all got to play and again it was top notch! The course is incredible and the layout was fun to play. We will definitely be back. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful experience! Gabe

Course is in great shape, and you have the best greens we have played. They putted super smooth and rolled so good.......you only had yourself to blame if you missed a putt. Everyone there was nice and friendly. The guy in the pro was great!!!!

Nice course in good shape, though a bit pricey for a semi-private club. No GPS and yardage markers only at 100 and 150 yards, which affected the pace of play. Overall, a pleasant experience with very friendly outside staff members.

Golf pro was an absolute jerk. Called to book a 4 some and had two kids that wanted to just ride along and because it was at 8 am would not let us book. We live on a golf course and kids are 10 and 12 , have won kids club championships, and explained this. They would only be putting and riding along and we would keep a fast pace. Rudely told me it was not an option and hung up. Would recommend anywhere but here for just the fact that the pros here are not nice people.

First time golfing outside of Ohio. This was a very nice course! It’s very well maintained. Awesome staff. We somehow managed to not hit any houses however we did donate a dozen or so balls to the gators. We also got paired with a nice local couple & witnessed what will most likely be the only hole in 1 we’ll ever see. Way to go Dale!

Really don’t understand how this course has a anything above a 3 star review. Had an off day for spring training saw great reviews for this course gave it a chance and it was quite literally a waste of an off day. Payed 130 dollars on a Monday for a 60$ course. Bugs were horrible pace of play for a Monday were horrible. Has to be top 3 worst courses I’ve played near Sarasota

Will never go back to this dreadful course due to greens fees of $140 that don’t include range balls. Plus slow play, no GPS on the carts, and rude pro shop staff.

Superb golf course. Although a relatively simple design, the course is beautiful (particularly all the holes surrounded by natural trees), extremely well maintained and the folks working here are kind. The manager went out of his way to allow me to play ahead of a couple larger groups as I was a single and made the request. Many times this request is received negatively but the manager was quick to say that was no problem if I was willing to skip the range and head out immediately which I was happy to do. I will absolutely be back here, thank you all!

I really enjoyed playing this course. Staff was really nice. Looks like they did aeration a few days ago and we still had a great experience. Also great food!

Played this course for the first time in 4 years and it was in excellent condition! The greens rolled so smooth and true and we just the right speed. The pace of play was excellent as we played in right around 4 hours for our round and that was with around a 10am tee time. The clubhouse staff was very friendly and attentive and Jay the club pro and course manager was great to work with. Very friendly and helpful in scheduling future rounds. Will definitely play this course again!
