The venue is also noted for its excellent event hosting capabilities, particularly for weddings. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about course conditions, such as dry fairways and inconsistent greens, as well as occasional issues with pace of play and the clubhouse facilities.

Venetian Golf Course is a great place to spend a relaxing day on the greens. The course is well maintained, with smooth fairways, clean greens, and just enough challenge to keep things interesting without being frustrating. Whether you’re an experienced golfer or just getting into the game, it’s a fun and enjoyable course for all skill levels. The scenery is a huge bonus—water views, palm trees, and peaceful surroundings really add to the experience. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and everything from check-in to tee-off runs smoothly. It’s the kind of place where you can take your time,…

This is where my grandfather taught me how to golf (he's wearing the yellow). Though long past, his memory and love for this course lives on. He would place massive golf bets and let me drive the cart when I was young. Great memories hitting into the lake on the driving range. Would love to play here one more time in the future whenever I'm back in Florida. I hope when I do call eventually they will make an exception and allow me a ttime so that I may reminisce. RIP Bruce & Doris Grimm. You were both quite the golfers and great grand parents. Though not a member, I have their old membership…

I cannot say enough about how amazing this venue is and the staff especially! We just had our wedding here and it was the most beautiful venue. The staff and Tom are absolutely incredible. If not for them, I don't know what I would have done. They took the best care of us and our families from the very first day we walked in, to the actual wedding day and even the next day after! Beautiful, elegant, caring, efficient, and the food is delicious! Thank you a thousand times!

Love this golf course. It's hard to make the flatter land here in Florida look more attractive, but this course has the aesthetic that makes playing it more like an enjoyable story that unfolds before you than just a bunch of fairways and greens. The bunkers are strategically placed. It takes the right shot to get on the green, and in many cases it's all carry. They do have run-up areas too, so you don't have to be a pro, just play smart. There are several doglegs around lakes, so you won't be bored. The great thing is, when you get on the greens, they are green, well cared for and in excellen…

We headed to the Venetian Golf and River Club for a tennis match and found lovely courts with seating for spectators and plenty of parking. Bathrooms are nearby which is great! Water refill and ice machine close by too.

Great and friendly Staff starting with Billy at Bag drop, very accommodating Pro shop and Bucky the starter was on point. Great practice facilities to prepare for your game. Course layout was very good and made you look at all options, huge greens, with many undulations required good shots to get near the pin, even 5 sets if tees. Downside, course was in very poor shape and a 2 star is generous. We were led to believe a recent fertilizing was done but conditions were the opposite.Several fairways were very thin and like hitting a brick at impact. Greens were simply horrible aside from thin gra…

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The golf course is very challenging, the greens are in very good condition. Expect rolling contours throughout to add to the challenge. A few unexpected forays into the water. Bring your “A” game and at least 1/2 dozen golf balls.

From check in - to golf staff - to golf course - to dinner, the experience was great. Everyone was friendly and sure we were taken care of. As guests and new to the club we really appreciated this.

Not the typical Florida layout--really interesting. Well manicured, almost pristine fairways and greens. Tremendous value with Suncoast Golf Trail card in summer. Enjoyed a fast fun round with a knowledgeable and engaging member to guide me my first time around. Helpful but unobtrusive staff. Will definitely play again if I am back in low season.

Played Here Today 9-25-21. Let me start by saying this course is NOT worth $49.00 to play in the middle of summer, I have played far better muni courses for half that. Fairways were brown and dry, large bare dirt spots crabgrass and weeds throughout. Greens were hit or miss with a good amount of weeds/ crab grass patches present. The reason this place gets a one star review however is mainly due to the ranger. We're were on hole number 4 when ranger approached us and told us we need to step it up or will need to skip a hole, keep in mind we were on hole 4 and at that point mad according to my…

To the heavy set guard at the front entrance who was so rude to me this morning.... You angrily "corrected" me when I told you the street name I was going to in perfect Italian. YOU need to learn how to pronounce the names correctly instead of trying to shame the guests. You accused me of being in a hurry when all I was doing was moving up in line to enter. There was at least 12' of room between my car and the car ahead of me in the long line of cars. I had no idea you needed to to read the license plate of the car in front of me. You were upset because you had to get out of your chair. Maybe…
