In summary

Shula's Hotel and Golf Club is often praised for its convenient location, well-maintained grounds, and comprehensive amenities, including a large fitness club and good dining options. However, some guests have experienced issues with room conditions, such as dampness, outdated furnishings, and service mishaps, including booking errors and inadequate housekeeping. While many appreciate the property's overall value and friendly staff, others have encountered challenges with customer service and room quality.

Overall my stay was very nice, but there were two unusual service issues that caused me to give a two-star rating for service and only a 4 star overall. The first issue happened shortly after check-in. There were four people staying in the room, but only three body towels were provided. I made sure the rest of my family had towels and ended up using one of the smaller floor towels myself. I called the front desk requesting additional towels and some soap since I had forgotten mine at home. I was told housekeeping had run out of towels and that soap would be brought to the room shortly. Unfort…

Posting this review after giving the hotel over two weeks to respond to my email. I have received no reply or phone call. We booked one room with two beds. Prior to check-in, my name was added to the reservation. Upon arrival, hotel staff incorrectly split our booking into two separate rooms, despite both guests repeatedly explaining that only one room had been reserved. Throughout the stay, our room keys stopped working multiple times. A manager acknowledged this was a hotel system error and assured us it would be resolved. Despite this, we were later told we had to pay for a second room or…

Nice and quiet 3-star hotel. The rooms are a bit old but we'll maintained. There was no noise, the bed was good and the shower pressure and temperature good too. I can't talk about price value ratio as I went there because of a missed connection in MIA. But I was satisfied by the property and the staff.

Glad I stayed! I’ve been staying here for years. I ALMOST didn’t come here this time because of the current google reviews. No reliable hot water in shower!! I’m on the road 150 days a year. This hotel is on par with any of the other ones. Free breakfast, not just a fitness room but an entire 2 story fitness club with complimentary access with your room key. Beautiful campus. The facility was built in the 80s or 90s… maintenance is good. Some updates have been made. SUPER convenient location. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants. I’m glad I stayed here.

would be happy to give zero 1. 250 room deposits for one night 2. elevator broken . gave me the option to walk my 92 year old grandmother a different way or to take the stairs 3. charged 350 in damaged cause we had to call 911 when my grandmother fell for the sheets .. 350 for the sheets . so for one night i was charged 395.77 and 350 . of which 250 comes back to me . i wlll never ever ever stay here again .

Had a very uncomfortable 9 night stay here If I was on holiday I would have left after the first night but had to stay due to my partners work. So this is a review from someone who had time to see the issues. Firstly check in , the staff were nice and friendly so no issues there The room: the room was cleaned as well as it could be, cleaners tried their best however the room was damp and had a permanent smell of damp clothing. The first few days we're a little humid and the high polished floor was covered in a thin film of damp making it slippery and dangerous. Everything we owned felt damp to…

Well, I’m shocked. I booked this based on reviews. It is not what I expected at all. Poor location. Poor room. I came for the gym and what looked like a decent clean room. The floors are buckled. There are ants. The sink is broken. There is a coffee maker in the room with one paper cup. Check In was at 4. The gym closed at 3. Didn’t mention that at all when it was booked. Not impressed at all. Would like a partial or even full refund. I should have requested a refund within 2 minutes of checking in. Don’t stay here.

The Miami Lakes Hotel provided exceptional value and good quality. The room was large and daily service was good. Food was very good and the front desk provided excellent support. The location is perfect for access to Miami, dining nearby, and the atmosphere you expect in Miami. I highly recommend the hotel and would gladly stay her again.

Excellent place to stay, beautiful hotel, location and the rooms are super clean, they have almost everything you need except for a magnifying mirror to put my makeup bc I can’t see! The place is safe and has a lot of stores and a beautiful place to walk around. Will be back when traveling!? The front desk was ok, but they need to be more welcoming and smile more to guests.

I stayed overnight here for a college visit- granted my stay was covered by the school. The building is beautiful and welcomed you to a great, clean aroma. Then the rooms happened. Dirty bathrooms, everything covered in hair, okay-ish bedding but double beds?? Just no. The room overall is okay if you need somewhere to stay, but they should NOT be charging over $100 for that. Breakfast is complementary, which is very nice (the food is alright). Overall I would rate this hotel a 4/10- very beautiful on the outside, but missing the mark where it really counted.

Upon arriving to the hotel, walking in is absolutely beautiful. The staff were very friendly unfortunately, upon checking in I was told my room was not ready yet that it was still being clean after making it to my room. You can tell that the cleaning staff rushed the process and leaving out to explore the city. I told one of the maid staff that was on my floor about what was going on. She then told me that she will take care of it. I don’t think checking into a room that. A total stay for three nights was $686 that my room should’ve had a rush cleaning job. After leaving the hotel, I called Ex…
