In summary

Sarah Shank Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained greens and overall course condition, offering a beautiful and challenging layout with fast greens and open fairways. Many visitors appreciate the reasonable pricing and friendly staff, although some have experienced issues with customer service and scheduling, including slow pace of play and mismanagement of tee times. Despite these concerns, the course remains a popular choice for golfers in the Indianapolis area.

Five stars. I came here expecting grass. What I found was a man in a committed relationship with a lawn mower and a level of stripe precision usually reserved for military operations. The grass is cut so cleanly I considered taking my shoes off and apologizing for stepping on it. If Augusta National and a suburban dad’s dream had a baby, it’d be this course.

Beautiful course. The greens are EXTREMELY fast. The fairways are pretty standard with only a couple dog legs. A must visit if in indy!

Absolutely the worst golf experience I’ve had in a long time. Our group booked our tee time over a month in advance, yet when we showed up the course had squeezed in a last-minute outing and completely shoved us aside. We were rushed onto the back 9, forced to split up, and treated like an inconvenience. The staff running the course were unprofessional, disrespectful, and made rude comments to our group. It’s clear this place cares more about cramming in extra outings than honoring the customers who book ahead. I would not recommend Sarah Shank to anyone looking for a course that values its pl…

We were told that we couldn't stop at the clubhouse and eat. Asked to leave and take our over-priced credit card surcharged food to the cart after one of our foursome had a medical issue where they just needed to rest. Nice course, but staff was lacking personal skills. Never again.

Great course, new carts and extremely well taken care of. I only have one suggestion, I wish they would use paper towels in the restrooms or have the doors open out so you wouldn't have touch the door handle after your hands are clean. Damn covid!

The course was well kept and great shape. Pro shop employee was nice. However, the pace of play here for a weekday is slower than where I am from on a weekend during peak hours. Big group there I guess plays every Wednesday in front of us and someone even came to warn us and said sorry they are in front of you it will be a long day. We got to tee off early around 1225pm and finished hole 2 at 113pm. Sat around putting on green forever on hole 2 and I let them get a 15minute head start for hole 3 and was caught up 1 shot later. Was playing well but I don’t have a 6 hour game in me as a solo. An…

This is a great, easy course for beginners. It is in great shape from tee to green. No lakes to hit into, and just a few creeks to navigate. I do wish they would adjust the length of the tee boxes. Gold and red are the same for some reason at 4900 yards, and whites are at 6200. I’d like to see the golds somewhere between there.
