The Coffin Golf Club in Indianapolis is praised for its scenic layout, challenging design, and well-maintained greens, offering a good value for golfers. The staff is frequently noted as friendly and welcoming, enhancing the overall experience. However, some visitors have pointed out issues with the condition of the fairways and tee boxes, as well as a lack of practice facilities, which detracts from the otherwise enjoyable experience.

This Golf Club is a hidden gem right in the heart of Indianapolis! The course winds beautifully through a wooded valley with some great elevation changes – very scenic and fun to play. The greens are absolutely outstanding – fast, true, and in fantastic condition. Easily some of the best I’ve played on in the area. The fairways could use a bit more attention in places, but overall the course is still in good shape and very enjoyable. Staff was friendly, and the pace of play was smooth. I’ll definitely be coming back – those greens alone are worth the visit!

Disappointing experience. Our outing participants were charged the wrong rate (+11). Golfers were told to tee off in the middle of our outing’s turn (imagine being told to go tee off on the back 9 and finding out you’re in the middle of TWO shotgun start outings). Tee boxes are chewed up, fairways are spotty. Greens are slow but rolled fairly true. The layout is fine, but the trees need to be trimmed. No warmup/practice facility at the course. Rack rate is silly. I’d like to like this course, but they’re just bleeding it.

A decent muni. A fairly interesting layout and a few nice views of the river. Fairways were pretty rough with a lot of swampy areas because of drainage problems. Good greens overall. Absolutely no yardage markers and no laser reflectors on the pins. Shop attendant was friendly and helpful, but should turn his ball cap around. Easy stuff.

Good layout for the course. Only played the back 9. Lots of elevating changes. Suns very wide fairways and some very narrow ones. Overall condition of the course is poo pretty poor. Lots of areas with no grass. Fairways were pretty much just regular grass.

It's a good course for a round with Friends. Challenging, but mostly forgiving for errant shots. The cart paths have a few potholes to watch out for. Play was at a good pace and allowed for a little time to track down shots that didn't find the fairways without backing up the pace. I've played it before and will pay it again.

Tough course for sure but beautiful.. runs parallel to white river setting up for some stunning holes.. hole 15 was my favorite with the maaaaaasssssive fairway and downward drop.

Had a great time! Played nine holes, and really enjoyed the par three next to the river. Birdie in the clubhouse was the best clubhouse attendant I have ever came across. Just a really cool guy. Will be back to play 18 when the weather gets better! Hopefully I can break 100 this year haha! No gimmes.

It's a fun and challenging course but the quality of the course is not great. Greens and tee boxes are disappointing. Many bald spots on most greens. Sand traps and water hazards were dry. Glad I played here once, but I won't make it a priority to come back again this season.

Although it was very wet from yesterday's storms, the course was in fantastic condition! It is an extremely challenging course and well maintained! Those posting poor reviews of this course just don't appreciate challenging courses! One of the best bargains for seniors in Indianapolis!

Played the front nine and was a challenge. Some of the t-boxes are dirt due to lack of rain. The green are fast and the fairways are cut short and in pretty good shape. I enjoyed playing and will be back.

Decent course. Nice views of the river. Greens are big and nice. Fairways showing it's fall and are dry. Had a GroupGolfer discount. Do like city courses. Surprising how many big cities don't have golf courses in the city limits.
