In summary

Buffer Park Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained condition, friendly and accommodating staff, and enjoyable 9-hole layout, which many consider a hidden gem in Indianapolis. The course offers a mix of challenging and forgiving holes, with wide fairways and large greens, making it suitable for both casual and novice golfers. While most visitors appreciate the serene setting and overall experience, a few have noted concerns about the course's pricing and maintenance issues affecting the greens.

Absolutely a hidden gem in the Indianapolis area! The course is in fantastic shape and although only 9 holes it is a challenging and fun course to play! Brian at the clubhouse is super friendly and helpful for those never playing the course before. Brand new carts to boot! What more can you ask for in a course!! Play it, you'll will love it!

Great 9 hole course. Is seriously a hidden gem on the south west side of Indy. Stumbled upon it during a work trip. Course was in phenomenal shape. Condition was in par with a high priced course (the fort/purgatory etc)I played early April and you’d have thought it was peak season. Very forgiving layout and fun 9 hole course that I’ve ever played. Highly recommend. Quality can’t be beat for the price. Staff super nice (shout out Greg) very accommodating and even came out to ask how my round was after I finished up.

This is my local golf course and it's a nice one! I shot a 92 which isn't the best but I surely had fun!! Buffer Park is a nine-hole golf course with amazing greens and a practice area for putting and chipping. I'm not sure if it's an insect problem but the fairways do you have some patchy spots that need attention, it's not a game changer but it would be nicer once certain fairways are addressed. Overall this is a great place to come play after work, on your day off, with friends and family or even by yourself.

Lived in Indy for 34 years and never played Buffer Park until yesterday. Really nice, well-maintained track, with friendly staff, generous fairways, and large greens. There’s still trouble to be found, so it’s a fun challenge for the casual golfer.

I came from out of town to this course two separate occasions and loved every minute of it. Some of the most friendly staff, amazing fairways, smooth greens, and amazing views. 10/10 would recommend and play again

What a hidden gem this place is! I've lived in the area for nearly 20 years and played all the local courses many times. Yesterday 8/19/25 was the first time I ever played Buffer Park. I guess I was reluctant to try it since it is only 9 holes and I feel like there is a stigma attached to that. The moment we stepped in to the pro shop we were greeted by a super nice and knowledgeable shop attendant. I failed to get his name and I apologize for that but he must have been the owner or the head pro. So helpful and friendly! Gave us tips on the course that really helped us as this was our first t…

Great 9 hole course. Was in good condition. $25 for a round, rental clubs, and a cart is hard to beat. Wasn’t too challenging but still put a few balls into the woods or water so there’s enough obstacles for a novice like me. Was also empty so I finished my round as a single in less than 1.5 hours. If I lived in the area I’d come back.

A hidden gem, 9 hole course! Wide fairways, huge greens, friendly pro shop staff, course in really good condition. I do feel $32 for 9 holes is a bit steep but understand to keep the course in the great shape that it is.

This was our first time being here and my cousin recently graduated so they were having his party here. Not hard to find- suggest taking a map or using Google Map if it's your first time going there. Unlike a lot of places, they allow you to bring in your own food and drinks. The gentleman at the front desk was very personable. Prices and reservations can be made thru their Website. Family-friendly atmosphere. Would highly recommend if looking for a place to have a get together, baby shower, graduation party, etc.
