In summary

Morningstar Golf Club is appreciated for its friendly and welcoming staff, as well as its affordability, making it a popular choice for those new to golf or seeking a casual experience. The course layout is generally straightforward with few hazards, and while some find the greens and fairways in decent condition, others express concerns about maintenance issues, such as crabgrass, slow greens, and deteriorating cart paths. Despite mixed reviews on course conditions, the club's reasonable pricing and relaxed atmosphere are often highlighted as positives.

Best thing about this place is that it’s almost never busy. They increased their prices this year and it’s just not worth $40 a person for this level of course maintenance. A few years ago it was like $20 and unless they are gonna cut their prices, get better/newer carts, improve the course, or something then it’s just not worth it.

Worst golf course I have played in my life. $44 a round, I wouldn’t pay $15 to play this course again. Not maintained at all, grass is all crab, barely can’t tell the difference between rough and fairways, greens terrible, paths falling apart, just awful. I played her a couple years ago for $20 and it was in better shape then, where is all the extra money going because it’s definitely not going towards upkeep.

Edit: Disappointed multiple times with a closed ranged. Why did I pay for a pass if I can't access it. I started playing here this year, and it definitely is getting a worse reputation than I think is fair. Overall, my experience has been great. I play every other Monday here with cart for $20, I have the Season Range Pass for $200, and I take lessons every other week or so with Chris. I even have received some bonus time with PGA Steve at the range when he comes around. I just brought my friends for a round this past Monday, we enjoyed our time. The course design itself seems to be on the s…

Only gave 2 stars for the staff being very friendly and pace of play being decent especially for a holiday (played on Memorial Day). Other than that, I will not be returning. The fairways are barely any different than the rough, the cart path is destroyed if not nonexistent in some places, and worst of all, the $22 cart fee is OUTRAGEOUS considering the carts are falling apart. I played with my wife and we had the Indy golf cards so the green fee was free but we still had to pay $44 for the cart since the outrageous fee is per person. Don’t waste your money here, arrowhead or winding ridge are…

Great golf course. The staff here treats you like extended family. Also, excellent rates for 18! This course has become one of my regulars

#1 and #2 are extremely narrow, after that it opens up decently. Cart paths are very bumpy. Fairways are nice and green. Green are nice but some are really small. On other tabletop greens the holes are ON the downslope. Wet conditions today so if you hit the green it checks up really good. Good value at $40 and a cart on a Saturday morning. If they would cut back the trees on the left of #1 and make the gap wider on #2 (and one of the other par 3s) and place the cups more fairly, then it would have been a lot more fun.

First time playing so not a expert on courses . Went during the day so it was not busy. Had plenty of time and was not rushed . Other golfers were not pushy. Clubhouse was clean and had plenty of refreshments

This course is seeming to get better and better. It was very rough to play here the last few years but cost made it an attractive course. It seems like they made it a point to enhance their customer service to become more welcoming and friendly. Definitely noticed. Still room for improvement but keep it up!

Lots of crabgrass on fairways, parts not completely mowed, low-lying water, and bridges in disrepair. There are 18 holes but most of them play the same, not much variety. The prices definitely reflect this though, and I probably wouldn’t go back again.

Pros: Good course for the $$. Fairways and greens in decent shape. Greens are small and challenging Beer prices are fair. Cons: Not enough directional signs between holes- very confusing to navigate for first time player. Greens are extremely s l o w. Overall, worth playing again

I would call myself an intermediate player and I absolutely love this course. Just the right amount of difficulty. What really makes this course great though is the staff. You can tell they really love this course and enjoy working there. I would highly suggest making a visit. Once again. One of the nicest staffs around. Thanks Steve and Lauren for always being so great.
