We enjoyed this course so much and plan on coming back soon. Beautiful and very well maintained. Lodging is available on site along with a beautiful state park. The staff were very professional and welcoming.

This might be one of the best value for money courses I’ve ever played. The layout is fun and challenging with a lot of variety. It’s tough - the rough is long and has a US open vibe. The greens could have been a touch better, but for a municipal course it has a country club vibe without the joining fee. I’d play here again whenever I am in Indy.

I have been playing for about a year and half now, but I’ve been either at the range or course almost every single day. I’ve played at courses across Washington, Arizona, and Indiana. This is probably my favorite one and the most unique layout as well.

This might be the best public course I’ve been able to play in my 5 years of regular golf. It is well maintained, the staff is lovely. Even on a gloomy, wet day, the course played true. It’s a challenging layout, that varies from tight fairways surrounded by trees to rolling hills with room to work. Absolutely worth the visit I cannot wait to come back!

Golf course and driving range are very nice, but they shut everything down for a sprinkle of rain. On top of that, the guys in the pro shop can be absolute knobs. Some of them are cool but the majority are grumpy old semi-retired guys that act like you're insulting them for walking in. I had been to the driving range a few times but did not see the distances to flags posted anywhere. I went back the next time, bought a large bucket and asked what the distances are. The guy behind the desk said he didn't know. I asked if there was someone who might know. He told me to buy a range finder. Insan…

Wow what an amazing course. Beautiful layout. I didn't know there was such elevation near the city, reminded me of courses in Pennsylvania. Pete Dye is a golf design guru and this course is typical Dye. Awesome greens. This is our first stop on the Pete Dye Golf Trail. We aim to get in all 7. But now that we have played here we will be back. A must play course in Indianapolis!

After seeing the recent reviews of the greens before playing today (8-21-2021) I was concerned but took pictures instead of judging. I haven't played in several years here but played dozens of times 2000-2010. My opinion is alot of play from the public who don't bother to repair ball marks. Traps are abismal. State runs this course and needs to step up the budget to maintain this jewel to the condition it deserves or close it down...it's disrespectful to it's legacy as a top Indiana course.

The Fort is a challenging layout that offers some of the best golf course views in the entire state. The design made the most of every possible elevation change and contour to deliver ample dramatic shots. The facilities are modern and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pace of play was right at 4 hours. The greens were slower and softer than I prefer, but they were in excellent condition. Bunkers were full of quality sand and allowed for quality recovery shots. There are many memorable holes, and only a few that I didn’t enjoy. I would highly recommend playing this c…

For $100 this place is trash. First and foremost they stack there tee times 10 minutes apart. If I am paying $100 I expect great spacing and zero people holding me up in front of hitting into me from behind. The course was honestly in rough shape for $100. It took 4.25 hours for 16 holes. Waiting on every single tee box for about 15 minutes at a time. To top off everything. It’s a Pepsi place. Nobody wants Pepsi

Played the course last week when in Indy on business. We had a great time. The course was in great shape. The course was challenging yet fun and picturesque with the hills. This course is part of the Pete Dye trail. I recommend it and hope to play it again.
