In summary

River Bend Golf Club is appreciated for its well-maintained greens, affordability, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both beginners and seasoned players. The course layout is generally well-received, though some find the fairways lacking in quality compared to the greens. Criticisms include rough cart paths, unclear signage, and occasional issues with customer service, particularly regarding policies on outside beverages.

Nice little course. Very affordable. Nice carts. Fast greens. Cart paths could use some work tho. Especially the back side of the hill coming from 15.

First time playing this course a month ago and I'll definitely be back. Took my wife who's a beginner and was not pressured at all. The only downside was some of the cart paths were a little rough (especially holes 6-8).

Played the first time this year. Not a bad track, holes are right on top of each other. I was disappointed when I checked in. I was told no outside drinks. Alcohol I can understand but I wasn't going to be allowed to bring my own water bottle, kind of like being forced to buy there. The owner allowed it but that kind of thing is not acceptable to me. It's just a water. Not sure why they don't change the routing of holes. After coming off #9 I had to drive along #1 to get to the crossover for #10. That is dangerous. People teeing off 1, driving past people in fairway. Their "starter" only wante…

The course itself is nice and decently maintained but I feel unwelcome every time I play there. 42$ isn’t bad but I’ve paid less for more in the northern Kentucky area.

Probably the best greens in the tri-state with nice GPS in the carts. I think i paid 39 dollars. Can't beat it.

This place surprised me, as i had never played it before, and it was quite nice. The front nine was in really great shape, and the back nine was in pretty good shape. Carts have GPS that were accurate enough for my ability to swing a golf club. Staff was super friendly and helpful. I found myself reaching for my 5 iron more than my driver which was a little bizarre as hazards were all over. Would go back and play it again.

Good course but the owners is kinda mean and talks to ya with a condescending tone and is not nice. To get talked to like that for just asking a simple question. I guess they can talk to customers with that tone because they’re the only course around.

New golfer, stay on the cart paths near greens and tee boxes. Don't get lost between a green and a tee box. If you get onto the grass where you don't belong, the staff will get on to you even though the directions on course are not clear. Even if you tell them that the directions aren't clean how to get to the next tee box. Other than that enjoy. Once you know the course it's a good course.

Best course in the Greenup, Boyd county area! The greens are in outstanding shape, and they are FAST! Staff is also friendly you can not beat the price for 18 holes and a cart.

Tight course, target golf, plan your drive to best approach shot to small well kept greens with numerous subtle breaks. Miss a green by a few feet and you'll be bounced away into a tough lie.
