Shawnee State Park Lodge Golf Course

We randomly come out to the lodge because its close to home and a wonderful place to visit. The rooms were super clean, they have done a lot of work on the place since we were there last. It was absolutely beautiful dressed up for Christmas. The hot tub still isnt working, hasn't been the last few times we were there. I miss the sauna, I know its not been there in many years but it is missed. The food was absolutely divine. We went for the new year's eve party and dinner, I got the bourbon glazed salmon with rice and asparagus, my husband got the steak with potatoe and asparagus, both dinners…

The lodge is sooo beautiful, but they should utilize the planter boxes on the bridge and stairwell areas ❤️ Dinner food is lackluster but Ms. Tawna at breakfast is WONDERFUL...She's been there for 30yrs!!!! Front desk seems like they do not want to be there though 😞 pool area is wonderful but boy that pool is icy cold lol. Anyhoo for the most part our stay has been lovely. Its peaceful! The lodge itself is so cozy though ❤️. OH DO NOT DRINK THE LOBBY COFFEE !

Wonderful service. Clean rooms and lobby area. The lodge is beautifully decorated for the fall. The lobby on both the 2nd and 3rd floor has a lot of space and very comfy furniture. The outdoor patio overlooking the hills was my favorite spot to enjoy a complimentary hot drink in the morning. There’s an outdoor fire pit area too. The lodge rooms have lots of space; very roomy. We loved the game room. It had plenty of choices of types of games. We didn’t swim but the indoor pool looked nice. The outdoor pool is closed for renovation but I’m sure it would normally be closed this time of year anyw…

Not only is the location remote without cell phone service. But the wifi is spotty at best. I have an MBA and I'm highly recommend any business to choose a safer and more logical location to conduct meetings. Mold, phone issue,and no Internet is a deal breaker.

Absolutely love this place! But...please, bring back the rocks in the the gift shop! I always looked forward to that little 3$ bag of polished stones every time I visited! I promise you, I'll buy a bunch and im not the only one! Kids loved it too! ❤️❤️❤️

Went as a group last night. There were 14 of us with 6pm reservations. We were the largest group. There were only 4 tables, including ours, that had customers. Our food took almost 2 hours to come out from the kitchen. They waited until time to serve us to let us know that there were no baked potatoes. Then, when offered mashed potatoes or fries, we were told there were also no mashed potatoes. The "Cajun pasta" with blackened shrimp was plain Alfredo sauce with no Cajun seasoning. The steaks had sat long enough that the juice had dried up under them. At no point did a manager come to explain…

Like so many other state park lodges, this place has so much potential. Why someone thought it was a good idea to fill the lobby with cold, white institutional lights I will never understand. Here's some free advice, replace all the cool white light bulbs with warm white bulbs for an instant charm upgrade. It shouldn't cost you more than $1k. Also the restaurant here is a joke. Just spent 2 hours waiting for mediocre pizza and a salad. The wait staff is nice, but clearly there isn't front of house management to speak of. This reataurant is in desperate need of a management refresh.

This used to be my go-to place but no more wasting time on the way to the better places.. misrepresented no pool sauna or ... Whatever I should have been told these were closed before I went spending money that I really didn't have because I was trying to treat myself but like I said the sauna was broken the pool was broken and no one told me when I made my reservation I think this is wrong especially wrong to treat an old lady this way I have spent a lot of money at this place but I will never spend another time there unfortunately and it makes me really sad

If I could give zero stars I would. I have called at least 4 times to get a quote and get some questions answered about a wedding event in the ball room and not one person has been able to awnser my questions or call me back with someone that can. No one is ever available. I called one day about having a look around the next day and the staff member I talked to didn't even tell anybody so we got to walk around with someone that knew literally nothing about the lodge. We stay here every year for my mother's birthday and it's always a great time. The restaurant has a great breakfast and the bar has pickle pizza which is fantastic. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean. And the atmosphere in the building has a super cozy feeling. The fitness center and the pool were super nice as well. Will definitely be back again next year

Lobby was very festive for the holidays,nicely decorated with lights and trees, seating is plentiful also a Resturant-Bar on site.Outdoor firepit,indoor &Outdoor pool.

Nice quiet lodge. Rooms are spacious and clean with balconies. Staff was friendly.
