What People Say

In summary

Puerto del Sol Golf Course is appreciated for its friendly staff, affordability, and convenient location, making it a popular choice for beginners and those seeking a quick round. The course features a well-maintained driving range and practice greens, though some visitors have noted issues with fairway conditions and occasional safety concerns. While the course offers a fun and accessible experience, there are mixed reviews regarding staff demeanor and the condition of certain areas on the course.

The fairway was not well maintained even in the middle of it. (I'll give it a 2.5 stars) Hole 3 (the one there's a big big tank on the left side of fairway) green was under maintenance, while the temporary green was not mowed at all, you barely can put. Hole 9 is right by the highway, be careful not to drive your ball out to it (a local guy played with me did it 😂)

This place resurfaced it's a putting green for practice 3 weeks ago it looks great and is wonderful to practice at. Just to the south of the clubhouse they have an excellent chipping green. Great prices friendly staff and a very accessible pro who freely answers questions to customers. Great 9-hole cours and ideal for practicing.

Small 9 hole, fun not too difficult. Driving range with lights and nighttime use in season

Course was nice....grass was healing while we were there so had to hit around a couple fairways. Straight runs, bunkers near some greens, greens are big. Nice 9-hole course for beginners! Staff were very nice and plenty of carts. We will be back!

Favorite course in Albuquerque! A 9 hole course but a blast to play. Love the north facing driving range. Keeps sun out of your eyes and warmth on your back!!

Stopped coming here with my dad cause the kid working the carts acted like a grumpy old man and drove up harassing us to hurry up on the last hole to get the cart back. We had literally only been sitting in the cart for less than five minutes enjoying a sunset together. When your dad gets older you might understand how important those moments are kid.

Thanks to all the worker for taking care of the facility. Course looks good. Going for a second round. 👍👍👍 From 5 stars to 3. Second time around bad experience. Called in to book a tee time early in the week, picked the time they suggested, then come Saturday freaking nothing. Thanks to the guy at the counter for getting us in to play.

Great day today, they were able to get us out on another 9 so got 18 in today. There were some beginners ahead of us so we started bunching up. All in all a very nice and HOT day

I’ve played here twice and it really is a very nice public course. The first time I played was on a Thursday and it was Fantastic, Beautiful greens!! I took some my brother in law on a Sunday and it was less fantastic. I called and asked if they had a left handed set to rent to my B-in-L and they said yes and they charged $10. The “set” they rented him included a putter, and a hybrid and TWO 5 irons (one of which was a junior club). That’s it! Really? We paid over $60 with a cart and you couldn’t let him use those as a courtesy? Also, not in anyway a knock on the course, but there was a very e…

Driving range is Closed at 5:30 until next May. LOLOL ONLY in ABQ do they think it’s logical to have the night range open when there is more daylight hours than in the winter and they don’t even use their lights in the winter. Hahahaha this is actually hilarious and has summed up ABQ for me

Nice course, fairways in decent shape. One of the more expensive Municipal Courses in town, no Sr discount like other courses provide. Worth playing if you're trying to fill your card Update to 07/2024 - A lot of major updates to the course in the last year. fairways are great The greens are the best they've ever been. Definitely one of the nicer courses in town now. Worth playing
