What People Say

In summary

Arroyo del Oso Golf Club is praised for its well-maintained course, friendly staff, and enjoyable layout, making it a popular choice among golfers in Albuquerque. The club offers a range of amenities including a stocked pro shop, driving range, and a clubhouse with food options. However, some visitors have noted issues such as slow pace of play, occasional unfriendly service, and varying course conditions, particularly on the Dam 9.

Play this course 10 or 12 years ago when I visited albuquerque. Was visiting again so I decided to give it a try. Staff inside the pro shop were very friendly and accommodated me getting out earlier than my tea time that was scheduled. Pro shop has plenty of merchandise for every golfer. Large driving range to warm up on. They have two courses here. And 18 hole regulation golf course and a 9-hole course. I played the 18-hole course with three locals. Course was in really good shape. And there were a couple of bare spots but nothing to really worried about. The greens were in excellent conditio…

Excellent muni course. An old school vibe from the staff to the operations. It is most definitely one of my favorite public courses in town and there aren’t many left like it. The pro shop is stocked with plenty of merchandise for a nice browse sesh, the cart gals are fun and polite, the driving range is wide and open (and still boasts real grass from the boxes), and the food is absolutely excellent. You’ll catch the occasional grump working the counter but the prices are still right. The bar still has a golfer watering hole vibe and guarantees to have sports playing on all the screens. It is…

A challenging golf course that's been open for some years but well maintained! The staff are friendly and welcoming. My play was hampered which made the course harder for me this day. I'll go back when I'm in better shape!

Probably the best public course I've ever played, the course design and condition both awesome. There's a clock tower right by the green of Hole 2, I'll say it's one of the best green scenes. Like especially how Arroyo Del Oso takes advantage of the slope of the environment, Hole 7 is such a classic The only thing is that I didn't get the chance to play in the 18-hole as there's tournament, but the Dam 9 was still pretty nice P.S. once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the full solar eclipse when playing Hole 2 (photo 4), what a nice experience

I had an outstanding experience at Arroyo Del Oso Golf Course! The price was unbeatable, and the challenging layout of the course kept me engaged throughout my round. The course was impeccably maintained, making for a pleasant and enjoyable golfing session. Highly recommend this gem for all golf enthusiasts!

5/8/23 Went golfing at ADO last week, course was, in my opinion, in great condition!! Greens were nice and I was able to play the 18 right before sundown it was awesome. I haven't golfed in a long while but it was good to go to a municipal course and play a round. ADO staff is always professional, courteous, helpful and welcoming!! I will be back for the day nine next time!! Keep up the excellent work!!

I played here a while back and thoroughly enjoyed the course. It was in good shape and has a really fun layout. There are some holes that remain memorable to me even after a couple years, which is why I came back to leave this review. I had to rent clubs and they were not good at all, but I made the best of it and had a great time. Would definitely play again if I get back to the area.

Golf here once every two weeks or so. Wednesday special is awesome! 18 holes plus a cart for around 30 bucks and a hot dog for lunch. Rounds usually play very quickly here, however sometimes the crowd can slow it down. Expect right around 4 hours, on a good day make that 3. Beautiful views and good course conditions. The dam 9 is very challenging.

Pro shop staff are all friendly and welcomed us to the course. Check in was fast and easy. Starter checked our tee times and ushered us to the first tee box at our scheduled tee time. Fairways, greens and tee boxes are in good condition. The range and practice area are open and in good condition. We were able to golf in less than four hours, walking and needing to wait on the twosome in front of us at hole 14 through 18. An excellent course for all level of players based on tee box selection.

Course is not in great shape this year. But still fun. The staff is great and we will keep coming back

Clubhouse chef lady has the biggest attitude I have ever witnessed. Worse than your grumpiest starter or marshall. I asked for a breakfast off their menu and she made the biggest deal about it, as if I had asked for a catering order for 20. You're scrambling some eggs and it's presumably your job, I don't understand why she acted like I just put her out. Ordered a premade burrito because I didn't want her spitting in my food and left. Worst clubhouse in Albuquerque from that experience alone. I book my group's tee times and we'll be avoiding Arroyo moving forward. Sheesh.

Pretty nice Course for being in the middle of a City. Improvements can always be made anywhere but it seems like the City has a handle on a busy Course.
