In summary

Lake Venice Golf Club is appreciated for its scenic layout and affordability, offering a no-frills golfing experience with 27 holes and a convenient location near Venice Airport. The course is noted for being beginner-friendly, with wide fairways and minimal hazards, and many find the staff to be friendly and helpful. However, some visitors report a slow pace of play due to the absence of tee times and occasional issues with course conditions, particularly the greens and some lingering hurricane damage.

Most of the fairways are tight, but the greens are decent. It can be very windy due to being adjacent to the airport. The staff in the pro shop are definitely not the most polite people you’ll find, but luckily you only deal with them for a few minutes. The pace of play is on the slow side because they don’t take tee times. Overall, it’s not a bad value but there are a lot of much nicer and more friendly courses in the region.

This course is beautiful, it's one of my all tme favorites. And theres no houses!! It's a great course for beginners, fairways are wide, bunkers and water hazards are few. I love this course. Best part is no tee times. Arrive and golf, 27holes to choose from.

Been playing golf in this area for years. Played the nice expensive cart only courses. Looked at LV on GPS and was not impressed. Looked burnt out. Finally went out because of the nice walking rate. I'm totally sold and should have been here years ago. Only rules. Shirts must have sleeves. No Cut offs. Excellent Place is very organized. Has to be since there are no tee times. The staff is excellent but don't suffer fools. Have your stuff together. A little wait but once out the played moved pretty well. There are 27 holes surrounding the small airport. Small planes no issue. The occasional pri…

Straightforward golf course (except a crooked and difficult 17), located by Sharkey's and Venice Airport. No frills layout (6203 yard, par 72 from the whites), prices are best in town. 27 total holes, with a driving range and clubhouse.

A nice course with very helpful and friendly staff. This was the first course I’ve played here, so my base of reference is limited. But comparing with Carolina courses, the greens were in great shape, soft and roll very true. The layout is simple with very little water or sand. Pace of play was pretty slow but it was a Saturday of a holiday weekend. It’s a public course so if you are looking for a high end golf experience, go elsewhere and pay that price. $58 for 18 holes this time of year in a nice setting with superior greens (albeit simple) I will be back to play the 9 holes I didn’t play.

It's an old school modest track built on an esthetically beautiful and naturally forested property unusually situated next to Venice muni airport. It hosts 27 holes of play and a driving range, which is abbreviated by a large net to capture balls beyond 150 yards. From the tips it can stretch out to 6600+ yards. The pro-shop carries a nice selection of men and women's golf attire albeit not inexpensive. It also has a sizeable full service cafeteria but with no outdoor seating. Too bad. You can check out their pricing online but fees are favorable with price breaks after 12 NOON and again after…

A great walking course. Get there early or later afternoon. No tee time sign ups. Worth the wait. A fun, challenging course!

Golf course is in great shape. A little expensive. Some attention is needed on trimming some trees and fixing some damage from the hurricane. It has been 6 months and things are still not completely fixed.

Outstanding service at the golf shop. I took my son to golf for his first time on this course and he had a great experience. Great golf course with no homes. Olde Florida trees and vegetation.

Great course for the beginners and or high handicappers. The course has suffered some damage from 2024 hurricanes but seems to be on the mends. Overall great place to golf, no tee times needed, first come first serve. Prices are very reasonable as well.
