In summary

Lake Valley Golf Club is highly praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and welcoming atmosphere, with many appreciating the friendly staff and excellent dining options at The Persimmon Grill. The club is noted for its scenic views and laid-back environment, making it a favorite among both serious golfers and casual visitors. While the majority of feedback is positive, a few reviews suggest that the course may not meet the expectations of those seeking a more prestigious golfing experience.

Excellent golf course and friendly members! Great food at The Persimmon is open to the public and take out is available! Chef Paul is extraordinary! Enjoyed a delicious clam chowder and coconut shrimp dinner on this winter evening. The Grille is open to the public every day but Monday. I attended a group lesson today and Assistant Pro Rudy taught this old girl 2 new tricks for putting!

Well prepared meals using fresh ingredients. Warm friendly and attentive service. Fairly priced. Not a huge menu but I'd prefer less variety but better prepared options. We will be often! 👍👌🎉

Don't waste your money. This course is mediocre at best. Coal Creek Golf Course in Louisville is 100% better than this course and it's not even that great of a course. If you wanna play a good golf course that's worth the money, go play The Golf Club at Bear Dance, Red Hawk Ridge Golf Course or 4 Mile Ranch Golf Club. Bayside Golf Club in Brule, Nebraska is the best of all of them. Spend your money at good courses. Another "real" golf course you could go play is Black Mesa in Espanola, New Mexico.

Fantastic club with welcoming membership and laid back feels. Staff is amazing and pro shop has great selections. Heavy walking club (course is perfect for it). No homes on 13+ holes. Wonderfully difficult green complexes. This is what private golf in America should look like. Fun, challenging, and most importantly, inviting.

Exceptionally well maintained course. This was the first time I have played there in several years. The greens were the best part. The staff were outstanding in every way. We used the golf scooters which was a very different experience. It's not for everyone.

Great course! One of the best practice areas I’ve seen. The QR codes for flag distances on the range are awesome. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The course is a great challenge. This course is definitely a hidden gem.

I am not a member, but had a lesson with Cameron Morton today (5/9/2025) and he is excellent. I have been playing golf for decades and have taken numerous lessons at private clubs, GolfTEC, driving ranges, attended golf schools, etc. and today's sessions was truly great. I left hitting the ball better and Cameron recommended a few drills for me to continue to make progress. On top of the range and practice areas are amazing!

One of the best clubs around. Course is always in good shape, playable for the more novice types, but also can play difficult from the tips. The club community out there is very cool as well, a lot of easy to get along with people. Club staff and restaurant staff are just good people, easy to be around. Highly recommend the trip/membership if you get the opportunity.

This club is fantastic! The people are great, the staff is great, and the views of the flatirons and front range are unbeatable. From serious tournaments hosted/ played by the members to the ridiculously fun tournaments, this place has it all for all ranges of golfers. The grill has 5 star food and the chicken parm is better than any Italian food in the area in my opinion. I have nothing but good things to say about Lake Valley!

My experience at Lake Valley has been great. It is a club dedicated to golf. The course is nice, and the people are very friendly. If you are looking for a reasonably priced private club, this is the place. There is no pool, no tennis court, no hot tub, and minimal other extras. But the golf is very good, the restaurant is quite nice, and the views are spectacular.

I have had the good fortune to play many of the private golf course in Colorado. If you are looking for a pretentious, flower-laden, exclusive club I suggest you look elsewhere. If you are searching for a challenging layout demanding a variety of shots, an incredibly courteous staff, open and friendly members, and delicious fresh food than you should check out Lake Valley Golf Club in North Boulder. Rob and his staff have redefined "service".
