Loved this course from day 1 when I walked in clubhouse, about 2 years ago. Nice vibe here, friendly staff, course is a classic, well maintained and challenging via large Cottonwoods lining fairways along with postage stamp size greens;) Seriously though this course is a gem. My only complaint is more folks need to fix their ball marks!

Having a fantastic, 100+ year old course like Sunset in the middle of Longmont is truly special. The massive, mature trees, the tight fairways, the small, tricky greens all combine to make it fun and challenging. It can feel easy if you’re striking it well, but your score can go up quickly if you aren’t. It’s currently in excellent condition, especially the greens, which are smooth and fast. Because it is affordable and relatively short, it can draw beginners and higher handicappers so be aware of stray shots. Also, because it’s not easy, as some assume, pace of play can be slow, as less skil…

Absolutely beautiful golf course view off of hole 1 is amazing. Just in case that you have a wicked slice, God bless the giant 150 old trees protecting homes on either side. Absolutely will be playing here again...

This course is in great shape one of the most well maintained courses I have played and I play big name courses! City nine fort collins needs to take a page out of this book to be a awesome 9 hole course

Nice course. But more challenging than you think bc of tree lined fairways and houses, missing slightly right here will get you in trouble quickly. I’ve played here twice and have got paired with beginners, so the play has been slow, 2.5 hours+ for nine . Not great

Fun little 9 hole course. Needs a little work but worth the price tag.

A nice 100+ year old municipal 9 hole course. There are no water hazards, but there are plenty of challenges with elevation change, very well established trees, and sneaky sand traps.

Review from a moderate golfer perspective. The course itself offered a nice balance of challenge without being overly difficult. While being slightly on the difficult side, I think its a great option for both seasoned golfers and those still learning the ropes. Only being a nine hole course could turn off some people but it was fine for me in November. Despite the winter weather we had just received, the course was in surprisingly good condition in November. The staff at the clubhouse were friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive vibe of the place. I enjoyed my time there and…

Beautiful 9 hole golf course. It is the oldest golf course in Longmont, somewhere around 100 years old. Lots of big trees make it challenging. Great mountain views, especially from the 1st tee. I played many rounds of golf here during my 7 years in Colorado. A great course and it is not too pricey. I recommend it to everyone!

The worst course in town, take a 10 minute drive any direction and find anything else. They took the money for my tee time, weather don’t allow us to play and I got no rain check, refund, or credit. They use a third party for booking and send you around on endless calls to get anything done. The course is mediocre at best, used to be fun for a quick round but it’s now the worst course in Longmont.

Played around twice to celebrate 100 years! Once the leaves were cleaned up, the course was in great shape. From t-boxes to greens, perfectly maintained. Layout was challenging, fun, and fair. People in the club house and on the course were the friendliest.

This course is my favorite course and it is not even close. I played Sunset with my dad growing up quite a bit and when I moved back to Longmont after my dad passed away I got a pass at Sunset. The staff there have been more than incredible. Ryan (the club pro) has made me feel like I am part of the Sunset family from the time I got my pass and entered into the men's league. It is a family ran clubhouse and that comes through in the way they treat the people that play there. They treat us like family. The staff there and the community that plays there have become a part of my life. The people…
