In summary

Brackenridge Heights Golf Course is appreciated for its friendly and helpful staff, as well as its potential to be a welcoming environment for beginner golfers. However, many visitors express concerns about the course's maintenance, citing issues with the greens, fairways, and general upkeep, which some attribute to a lack of investment and impact from the pandemic. While the clubhouse receives positive remarks, the overall condition of the course and lack of clear hole maps have led to dissatisfaction among more experienced golfers.

This course doesn’t even deserve a singular star, course was so run down that it wasn’t even playable. Greens had maybe 2 feet of grass on every green, everything else was bone dry and dead. The $25 dollars they charge to play this should be outright criminal. Also to top it all off they charged me twice for my round and when I asked about it staff was rude and not helpful in the slightest and weren’t able to correct the issue. If you even think about coming here run the opposite direction you’re better off golfing in your backyard.

The staff here were quite friendly and helpful, but it looks like the glory days of this course posted in some photos below are over. There are not any fairways, it’s like just hitting balls at your local park. The greens are essentially dead, and the teeboxes are hard to make out. $20 for 9 holes with no fairways is a tough ask, when other maintained courses are just $5-10 more. The clubhouse is a beautiful building, but unfortunately it looks like the pandemic took it’s toll here with a lack of cash influx, causing the upkeep to be shallow. As a result, this course has the look and feel of a…

The course has terrible greens that are patchy and is all around not cared for, would not recommend for any serious golfers.

Very poor golf course I do not like this very much at all. There was one good hole, the third hole with the dog leg left going down and uphill. Everything else about the course was bad. With the only 15-20 yard wide fairways, to the 6 inch deep roughs, and the lack of any pro shop to check in or get tees and balls. Worst golf course I have ever played and it is not even close. Do not waste your time on this rundown and poorly maintained golf course. I recognize that this course had no grass cutting when I played due to covid, but how can they let it get to 1/2 feet deep that is just ridiculous…

Greens suck, pro shop was okay but small. Friendly staff, course needs repaired bad, I couldnt tell where the fairways were, along with no map of the holes either at the hole or on the back of the scorecard and it has multiple blind holes where you're just hitting into the abyss and hoping you're on a fairway. I couldn't tell if I was on the fairway or in the rough throughout my entire nine holes, $20 for 9 holes is a tough ask for this place. It was absolutely deserted at noon besides the girl working and the one groundskeeper. Terrible Just absolutely terrible, some money invested into this…

The owner had told me that the course had been maintained by college students, but that they had all graduated and moved away; and it shows. Several great shots I had got lost in the very high rough, the greens were horrendous, and part of the cart paths were destroyed by fallen trees. The staff were above and beyond friendly and helpful, but don't see myself coming here in the near future.

It has come along way from the reopening. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Their golf ⛳ pro she is very good with younger golfers. I hope it continues in this positive direction. The only drawback is it is only a 9 hole course and I don't believe it can expand to a 18 hole course. This limits team play or setting any tournament that would really boost this club to the top. But overall a very nice place.

I had my first experience with this course last Sunday and if they would put some money into the layout (having someone cut the grass) it could be a nice executive course. Luckily, we had enough players in our group to look for golf balls, that we only lost a couple in the fairway.

Absolute worst course I've played. Forget that the greens were mud and dirt, the tee boxes were weeds covered in dandelions, and that the carts had to be pushed around; the real kicker was when an employee told us to hurry up because he wanted to go home. Don't waste your $30 on hitting golf balls in a field, go literally anywhere else.

The absolute worst course I've ever played. No map on the back of the score card, or even individual hole maps. This wouldn't be as much of an issue if you could see the pin from the box, but multiple blind holes and no guidance were just the start of the day. One of our carts was dead after hole 3 and the other had a faulty parking break making it beyond frustrating to even park the cart for your shot. I will never be going back here. Thirty dollars for nine poorly marked holes and brown cracking greens.

Great 9 hole course with a very friendly staff. The clubhouse is a great place to grab a beer and good food after your round. Usually not busy so it's easy to get a tee time. Definitely recommend!

Course was empty, I brought a beginner golfer and the course was very inviting. It was really nice not having anyone around and get some practice in, didn't have to worry about pace.
