Buffalo Golf Course is appreciated for its affordability, friendly staff, and efforts to maintain the course despite challenging weather conditions. The course is described as well-kept with some improvements, making it enjoyable for local and visiting golfers. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the condition of certain areas like tee boxes and fairways, as well as negative interactions with staff, particularly during busy times or adverse weather delays. Additionally, issues with event hosting facilities and robotic mowers have been noted by a few patrons.

We hosted a graduation party for our son on Sunday, July 17th and it was a huge success! Guest's were happy and complimentary about the size of the patio and air conditioned room. The staff was very helpful and quick to assist with any requests that we had! Set up occurred Saturday evening which was a huge help to my family! The staff stayed late following a golf outing so we could get things organized for Sunday! That was truly appreciated!

I normally don't leave reviews on places, but the experience I had Friday morning might keep people from having the horrible experience I had. My golfing buddy and I arrived 20 minutes before our tee time, when we arrived, we were told there was a 15 minute or so frost delay. We had no problem with waiting and we were understanding about the situation. While we were waiting for our turn to register, the gentleman with the ponytail and lip rings was getting very aggressive and rude towards the customers that were in the pro shop. He was insulting the grown men and women that were just waiting p…

The course was in pretty good shape considering the lack of rain this year, although the rough was very high and made it hard to find your ball at times. The greens had been recently aerated but still rolled pretty true. Pace of play was good also. Some of the tee boxes could use some repair. Other than the way I played that day 😁 I was happy with the price and the course itself. Would definitely play here again 👍

Take your money and go somewhere else. This course is in awful shape. The teeboxes are dirt patches, the "fairways" have more brown than green, and the rough is just as bad. Instead of investing in the drone remote mowers, you should have invested in the irrigation system. Aside from the girls that work inside, they're great, the course is run by bitter staff. On top of this, they have a poor selection of food in the shop. No Hotdogs, and they want $2 for a small bag of pretzels. Give me a break. I'm attaching photos to give examples. Every hole is like this. I have a filled-out stamp ca…

In the spring it’s a great public course, but once summer comes the rough and fairways dry out which can lead to brutal lies and unfair bounces. The greens tend to remain in decent shape.

I always look forward to the couple times a year I get to play Buffalo as I come in from out of town to play with my buddies. Been coming for about 7 years and I think the course has improved - both with some investments in bunkers and with robotic mowers which are able to leave less tracks in the wet spring. The staff has always treated me well and makes suggestions of golf equipment which has helped my game. I see a foursome had a run in and did a bunch of 1 stars. Not sure what happened there but there might be more to the story.

Family owned golf course in operation since 1967. They strive to keep affordable rates, which is a challenge in today's economy. Their goal is to provide an affordable golf course for the community to enjoy. A relatively flat course, perfect for those who enjoy walking golf courses. They support the Freeport and Valley golf teams. They source locally for food, snacks, and beverages to help the community. They have a great facility to host outings, birthdays, and graduation parties. Maintaining the course is difficult at times because they are at the mercy of Mother Nature. In dry conditions t…

I golf here frequently…and it’s a great spot! For a local course, it is very well kept, has enough challenges to make the round interesting, and is a ton of fun to play! Definitely recommend playing here. The owner and staff work hard to make this place an enjoyable place to play…they are great people!

Unfortunately, I will never be returning to this course. Aside from the poor upkeep, barren tee boxes, and lackluster layout, this place is outright dangerous. And the staff and owners are some of the rudest, trashy people I've ever encountered. While golfing there a few weeks ago, and standing in the middle of the fairway, one of their self-driving robotic lawn mowers turned 90 degrees directly towards my partner and I. We thought the self-driving mower would turn before running into us...we were wrong. The machine drove right over our ball and slammed directly into the side of our golf cart…

It’s unfortunate that I even have to give this course 1 star. I arrived to this course excited to play it. Upon arriving I was told there are on a frost delay. Which I understand and was willing to wait. As I was waiting the worker with the lip ring and pony tail was getting very rude towards customers. When they decided to finally let us out the worker (very aggressively) was yelling at customers to stay away from the desk. On top of this, he was insulting people saying that we’re all grown men acting a certain way. I left and went down the road where I was greeted nicely and with open arms.…

I can't speak for the golf course itself, but I rented the porch area for a function, and there had been a severe storm 3 weeks prior, that tore part of the covered roof off. I, among others, were not notified about the roof. I found out when I went there 3 days before my event to finalize plans with the owner. I couldn't believe that I never received a phone call. If I had, I would've changed venues. I never received any kind of discount for the inconvenience. (It also rained the day of my event, making that part of the patio unusable.) It was also very dirty, cigarette butts all over the gro…

Buffalo Golf Course just hosted our Freeport Golf outing. They did an excellent job making sure everything was taken care off. They provided lunch for our golfers, helped with the set up, and made sure the golfers had everything they needed.
