In summary

Birdsfoot Golf Club is frequently praised for its scenic layout and well-designed course, which many find challenging and enjoyable. The staff is often highlighted for their professionalism and accommodating nature, contributing positively to the overall experience. However, several visitors express concerns about the course's condition, particularly the bunkers and tee boxes, and some feel the pricing is too high for the level of maintenance and amenities offered. Additionally, slow pace of play and outdated carts are noted as areas needing improvement.

9–9-2025 Wait, $85 to play here on the weekend?? Since when? Lol. Guess I’ll have to go see if it’s now worth $85… Update as of 9-20-25(photos as well) And it’s not. $85 on the weekend here is robbery. Always very scenic here and a fantastic layout. Unfortunately, the conditions have gone way down hill since the very first time I played here back in 2017. We were able to find a rate of $45 on a Friday at 2:30 and that’s perfect. I would never pay more than $65 here now knowing I can play here for less than $50 during the week. This course has so much potential to be one of the top public co…

We picked Birdsfoot for our 8/28 John Bottegal Memorial Golf Outing. Managing Partner Travis Lindsay gave us a great value and Birdsfoot’s Alicia Stone handled all the details - ensuring our 144 player event went very smoothly. The course is always in great shape. Highly recommended.

$85 for this course is way overpriced. Tee boxes are in terrible shape. Sand traps should honestly be called “gravel traps”—there are so many rocks that one swing could easily ruin a wedge. Greens are completely unfair. I’ve never played a course where the greens and pin placements felt this punishing. Even if you hit every green in regulation, you’re likely to three-putt on at least half the holes because the ball either rolls off the green or ends up 10+ feet from the hole. The pin locations are downright criminal. You can easily pay $50 at another course for similar—or even better—condi…

Birdsfoot golf course reminded me of several courses in the Sandhills area of North Carolina such as Mid Pines and Southern Pines. There is a good bit of elevation change here and most of the shorter Par 4’s are uphill, while the longer holes play more downhill. There was no significant rough even after a lot of rain and the course is fairly open, so unless you really spray your tee shot you should always have a shot at the green on your next shot. The condition of the course was mixed which was not a surprise on a chilly April morning. Keep in mind since the course is mostly open you do get…

One of my favorite public courses in the Pittsburgh area. Great layout and nice staff. Main complaint is the bunkers. A large percentage of them are in terrible shape. Course seems to be pretty successful so either fix the bunkers or get rid of some so you don’t have as many to care for.

85 is overpaying here.. they exploit “links style”ish to get top dollar since it’s that or cran for local public. Along w dynamic pricing. Backed up by 9am tee time, 20 min late off the box. Some of the bunkers had rocks in them. Couple unacceptable spots on fairway and greens. Carts are atrocious and boarder line dangerous. Decent uphill driver friendly driving range, nice short game area, and putting green for a thorough warm up. Cart attendant (Nick) was the most professional and friendly young man I’ve met at a golf course, he earned bf the second star.

Pretty nice layout, though the bunkers and some tee boxes need some help. Pace ofnplay was miserable, though. 4:30 on a Monday afternoon and it took 2 hours to get through 6 holes.

Played there for the big cup tournament. We play every year always the first weekend in November. It's such a good time. We play the course about 5-8 times a year. This tournament is a 2 day event. It's so fun our buddy flew in from SF and 8 of his friends drove up from North Carolina. Course is great. I think it's overplayed a bit but that's not a bad thing I guess? If you're free for a weekend or looking for a place to have an outing highly recommend Birdsfoot.

Beautiful, well kept links course. Quaint clubhouse, excellent craft beer selection. Rates are slightly higher than most courses in the area but the views and quality are worth it. Carts are luxurious and comfortable. Has a nice range and putting green as well.

I don’t usually do course reviews, but this course was unbelievably beautiful. From the tee boxes, the fairways, the well kept greens. The views are unparalleled from what I have played. Very challenging long par 4’s. This course was a wonderful experience. I am withholding the 5th star though. Only because the sand traps are absolutely terrible with rock and stones scattered through out. Fix this issue and I would be happy to give it the 5th star. The value of play is definitely worth every penny though.

Fun layout with some beautiful views. Course was in great shape even with the drought. Play got a little plugged up in the middle but a ranger came out and got it moving nicely. Can't wait to play again!
