In summary

The American Legion Country Club is praised for its well-maintained course, featuring open fairways and a unique par 6 hole, as well as its friendly and helpful staff. Visitors appreciate the reasonable pricing, relaxed atmosphere, and enjoyable events. However, some note that the clubhouse and facilities are outdated and could benefit from updates, and there are occasional logistical issues, such as the need for more bartenders during events.

I love playing in their spring and summer classic. It is always so much fun. Especially when you can camp there. Staff is always friendly and helpful. The course is pretty straightforward and in good condition for what it is.

Nice course to play. Carts are old but in good shape. Clubhouse team is awesome to work with. Nice relaxed environment. No gear and limited food in the clubhouse.

The golf course is super fun, lots of undulation and some impressive views from elevated tees and greens. A killer par 6 uphill the entire way will likely be the back-breaker of your round. The golf shop, snack shop and restrooms are all small and need to be updated and cleaned up, but are all manageable if you're there to play golf. The clubhouse could use some updating but we had a great reception there and the staff worked very hard and were very patient - despite their insistence that we do the cleanup. :( The pool wasn't open last time I was there but even if it were open I would probably…

Good course and good condition. Open fairways allow one to spray the ball and still find it. Odd system of getting ice and cooler in pro shop and then taking it to bar to get beer - could be improved.

Best looking, affordable, public course in Huntingdon county and within a 40-50 mile radius. Only par 6 hole around. Grounds crew does excellent job taking care of the course

The beautiful home of Pennsylvania's 1st Par 6 hole! ⛳ Public Course and Clubhouse! With the spring weather, and my job change while fully moving my belongings, I only got to hit at the range yesterday. I will be playing the course this week for sure. It's only $10-20 to play the course with the unpredictable pre-season weather. Although, the regular prices are very reasonable. Great food too! The member and guest rates are honestly lower than what I believe the course and the staff deserve to make off such a gem and historic course. One day, 2 weeks ago, I was driving out that way on 22 East…

Very pretty setting and I always support our legion and VFW posts. This places is in need of some TLC but it's still a great spot that supports the community
