In summary

Penn State Golf Club is praised for its beautiful scenery, well-maintained courses, and friendly staff, with both the White and Blue courses offering unique challenges and a good experience for golfers of varying skill levels. The club also features a convenient driving range and offers quality instruction. However, some visitors have noted inconsistencies in course conditions, particularly with bunkers and greens, and there are occasional complaints about slow pace of play and isolated incidents of unprofessional behavior.

7-6-25 Wow, this place is great! Beautiful scenery, well kept course with nice employees and decent prices. My 1st time here and we played the white course and its got a little bit of everything. Many sand traps and I found my way into enough but its a challenging, fun course and I cant wait to get back and play the Blue course. Thank you for the great day of golf and I look forward to another visit.

Great courses and driving range. (Note: blue is a bit harder than white) Some profs are regular here. Visiting profs from other institutions basically live here.

Staff was welcoming and helpful. White Course is the perfect price for new golfers who attend Penn State to learn how to play. Was in great shape especially as dry as it has been during Fall 2024.

Played on the Blue Course this weekend. While it was a little challenging, the course conditions weren’t what we expected. Bunkers had two different types of sand. Some fairway were soaked and it hadn’t rained recently, others were bone dry and burnt out. I would like to play the course in the middle of the season to see what changes. Would love to come back.

I love this golf course and they have a Driving Range!! I was looking for a space nearby, and I found this place very convenient. Costs only $11 for 75 balls and there you go! I could spend hours the few times I went there! Ambient space for a quick drink and eat, and everything you need is available inside! I will get back there soon!

Very well kept! Fairly simple course. Played White and had a great time. No water hazards and plenty of space to miss on both sides and still be OK on most holes.

My son played this weekend with the Hurricane tour. On Saturday his 5 iron broke and was completely unusable. The pro shop staff was amazing and allowed him to demo some irons and rent one for the round on Sunday. The compassion and patience they showed to a defeated 16 year old is noteworthy. Great job!!!

Very disappointed in blue course conditions this rating should be a one, the bunkers were almost unplayable, had not seen a rake in well over a week. Green mowing was inconsistent some slow some super fast. Club house food was exceptional, and the bar staff was wonderful. Staff in proshop and starter was very professional and a pleasure to have as staff.

Two beautiful and well-maintained courses. I cannot say enough good things about their instruction. I have taken a half hour lesson with Brian and an hour lesson with Garret. Their ability to pick apart what I’m doing wrong and instruct how to do right is incredible. 5 out of 5 would recommend.

Enjoyed a quick front 9 on the Blue course while my kids was at orientation. Course was in great condition given the hot and dry stretch of weather. Course is challenging without being unplayable for the average golfer. Make sure you head in to the 19th hole for an end of round beverage and some food. I'll be back to play more.
