In summary

Guests appreciate the variety of amenities, including a pool, tennis courts, and walking trails, as well as the friendly staff and clean accommodations. However, some visitors have noted issues with outdated condos, unfriendly pool staff, and inconsistent experiences at the on-site restaurant, Mulligan's. Additionally, there have been concerns about reservation cancellations and administrative challenges for property owners.

I love this place! You can literally feel the vacation and relaxation vibes upon entering the gated community. Super close to the Kroger and Somerset, and nestled into Lake Cumberland. Beautiful golf course teeming with deer, squirrels, and birds. Friendly guests and owners. Great facilities and staff. The seasonal restaurant, Mulligan’s, is run by a culinary school, and the food is delicious. I have an amazing experience every visit.

Let’s start with the great… the area and resort itself is AMAZING!! Beautiful golf course and pool. Depending on the condo/apt you snag you could get one that hasn’t been updated since 1973 or one that’s been completed renovated. The not so great… When at the pool FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT CROSS THE BLUE LINE WITH FOOD OR BEVERAGES… they have a special seat team that sits and has nothing better to do. Then they will talk down to you and treat you like you’re about to dump toxic waste in the pool. The staff is not very friendly around the pool area and look like they hate their lives. The pool…

As an owner at Woodson Bend, for 35 years, the service we've received from the current administration has been appalling. We committed 10s of thousands of dollars over 8 months ago to have a porch built, and the photos will show what we've received. (I built my first ENTIRE house in 6) It's not close to done. They put a post literally in front of a bedroom window (I'm sure the Fire Marshall will love this). They didn't build it level to our back porch. They just left cables hanging. And when we hire a contractor, Woodson Bend takes a 25% fee on any work, despite whether they'll maintain it or…

It's a small resort but very clean and relaxing. The pool is a salt water pool so be prepared. They have golf, tennis, pickleball and play areas with walking trails. We will go again. The condo was older but super clean.

We stayed at a condo in this resort and it was amazing. We loved how peaceful the resort was. We got to see so much wildlife everywhere. The golf course was challenging and it was very fun. There was plenty of activities for the children to do.

I have been coming to WB for 40 years. Two years ago I made a decision to buy so that one day my kids can enjoy for 40 more years.

This review is for Mulligans Restaurant at Woodson Bend. Our group of six met at Mulligans to celebrate an 80th birthday and a 67th wedding anniversary. We reserved a table in advance. Our table was along the wall of large windows facing the pool and a door which opened out to the pool area. People from the pool area were continuously going in and out to the pool area and each time the doorway opened about 5 flies came in. After awhile the flies were numerous and dive-bombing our food. We literally had to use one hand to eat with, the other hand to shoo flies away from our food. The kitchen…

Beautiful, clean and relaxing. Lovely golf course with a quaint restaurant. It's a wonderful place to put your boat in the water, swim at their pool or just enjoy the scenery and walking trails. The cabins are a wonderful place to stay with your kids or just your significant other. It's a home away from home in a scenic, forested setting.

We rented a condo through Lake Cumberland Resorts and stayed at Woodson Bend Resort- It was my husband and our 2 kids- aged 9 and 7. The condo had a view of lake and was wonderful! The kitchen was updated and had everything we needed! The furniture was old but comfortable! I recommend renting a golf cart for driving around the resort. We loved the restaurant, Mulligans- we ate there (it's BYOB) and got it for take-out! We also saw a band there and loved it! We rented a boat and tube for the day from Lee's Ford Marina! It was a wonderful weekend!

Be wary of renting here. My family booked a unit for the July 4th holiday and paid for it in January 2024. They were called recently and were told that the reservation had to be cancelled because the owners decided to come down for the holiday weekend. It’s pretty sad that you can have your plans disrupted after reserving and paying. It’s akin to breaking a contract. If you don’t want to rent your unit, don’t. If you do, the abide by the booking dates.

I have been coming to this place since I was a kid. It's still well kept and still has a great staff. Great family atmosphere. The condos are clean and just what you need. There is enough to do here for a break from the lake too. The only reason I gave it four stars is because they can't (Army Corps of Engineers) allow you to use the boat docks that the owners use. You have to either rent a slip at a marina 10 minutes away or pull the boat out every night. If you could use the slips it would be nearly perfect.

It is very peaceful here. Condos line the streets with very green grass and a beautiful 18-hole golf course. If golf is not your thing and you can always check out the swimming pool. Next to swimming pool is a laundromat a library and a beautiful restaurant. This place also has a boat dock and boat launcher. But no you can only enter if you are a condo owner, renting a condo, or someone that owns a condo invite you.
