In summary

Windham Country Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, stunning views, and challenging layout that fits naturally into the mountainous terrain of upstate New York. The staff is generally described as friendly and accommodating, with the on-site Mulligans Pub offering enjoyable food and beverages. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about slow pace of play, occasional course maintenance issues such as aeration without prior notice, and a lack of clear directional signage on the course.

Very nice, well maintained, challenging municipal course in a beautiful mountainous region of upstate New York. Not a long course, but challenging - greens are quick (rolling 10-11 but I was out there the day after their memebr-guest). Good layout, holes make you really decide between risk/reward shots by penalizing you for misses and really rewarding you for executing. As an example - on the first hole I was able to carry the pot bunker in the middle of the fairway both days and went par-birdie; if I end up in that bunker either day I'm making bogey at minimum. Hazards in landing zones on te…

Mixed feelings here. While I commend them for renovating after the damaging flood of [2013], the primary factor driving my rating is that-- personal preference here-- I just didn't enjoy the layout of the course that much. Yes there were some nice holes, but also a few on terrain not well suited for it, Im talking about holes that dogleg sharply AND have a steep incline. If I lived in the immediate area, this would be a course to play. I drove some moderate distance and for me, it wasn't worth the drive. I will say the course looks fairly mundane from the road, but there is "alot more charac…

Course is in great shape. Much improved from when I played several years ago. So much fun to play and the staff was great. Mulligans pub is a treat after a round.

The Northern Catskills would be worth a visit even if there were no attractions other than waterfalls and trees and sky. Fortunately for anyone who has been bitten by the golf bug, Windham Country Club offers more. The course is well maintained, the layout fits naturally into the hills and fields at the feet of Windham Mountain. We thoroughly enjoyed our golf experience and lunch afterward on the outdoor deck! The staff is friendly and accommodating, assisting us with arrangements for our son with special needs.

1st time playing this course... Booked a Wednesday tee time on Tuesday afternoon. Showed up and was told the front 9 was closed as it was being aerated. No explanation on why I wasn't told this on Tuesday when I reserved my time. Get out there to realize the back 9 was also aerated and not cleaned up at all. Big chucks of dirt all over the fairways. After our 1st 9 we wanted to grab a drink as it was getting a little bottle necked due to only having 9 holes open. Bar was closed. We asked the pro shop if they could ring us up for a can of beer in the fridge (nothing that involved any bar ten…

I played this course for the second time last week. It was in wonderful condition from tee to green. Some of the holes are just stunning.

My husband and I golfed there this past weekend and it was great. Beautiful course. Crowded early on but we like to start late in the day so works perfectly for us. Very nice folks in the pro shop and the pub. We will be back as soon as we can!

This is a beautiful and challenging course with spectacular scenery. My Friends & I have it played several times & it has become one of our favorites. We were extremely pleased to see that you have done such a great job in restoring it after the recent storm damage. In light of this we were quite shocked to find that several holes were rearranged without directional signs. We received no instructions or guidance from any of the staff and although some of the carts had maps, mine did not. We played five other courses in the area this week without a problem. I have played more than a hundred gol…

Great place to golf. Greens are a little rough due to a bad fungus season. If you're not a golfer, definitely get food and drinks. The beer battered pretzels are amazing and the sauvignon blanc is very delicious

Really pretty course with a friendly layout. Went after a rainy day and found some parts of the fairway soggy but course was in great shape other than that. A little expensive for what it offers but other than that a must do in Windham.
