In summary

White Pines Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained fairways and greens, friendly staff, and affordable pricing, making it a popular choice for golfers of all skill levels. The course offers a scenic setting within the Maumee State Forest and is noted for its challenging yet enjoyable layout. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about slow play and occasional management issues, which can impact the overall experience.

It lies within the Maumee State Forest, so there are plenty of trees. Looks like this course gets a TON of play; it’s a bit worn out. But it’s got some great holes. The trees make it scenic. The fairways were in great shape. The greens never get a chance to recover. And it’s super cheap to play. The problem is that it gets so much play. And SLOW play. And I’m not crazy about moms driving around on the course without clubs but with a baby in the cart. Seems sketchy to me. Staff was friendly.

The best public course in the area. The employees are all friendly and helpful. Follow course rules and etiquette, you will have a great time. The course has its challenges, but does not try and overwhelm you. The fairways and greens are well maintained and offer a consistent play surface.

White Pines Golf Course is a Very Nice well maintained golf course, a couple of the greens had some issues going on but nothing major or that would affect your game. I think it's one of those golf course that is a hidden gem, and a challenging course to play from all levels of play. The owners are very nice and the staff is great. I would highly recommend this course for anyone that loves the game of golf, if I could give them anything to work on is to figure out how to make or build a little bigger club house other than that awesome course go play it and you will see what I am talking about 😊

The course was in great shape. Our Waite High Hasbeen Group had about 100 golfers and they treated us great.

Course is in great condition, staff are friendly, price is low, golfers are skilled. What more could you want in a golf course? This place is literally perfect especially for beginning golfers who want to save a buck and get some practice in. Just finished my first round and I'll be back for sure. The grass was in perfect health today, greens were firm and fast, and fairways felt perfect. What a great course!

We hosted our golf outing at White Pines Golf Course and couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out. The customer service was excellent from start to finish—every question was answered, every detail handled, and the entire team was easy to work with. The staff was friendly, professional, and just on top of it the entire day. And the food? Fantastic. We got so many compliments from our golfers and volunteers. Highly recommend White Pines. They made the day run smoothly, and we’re already looking forward to the next one.

Very well maintained golf course. Probably one of the best in Northwest Ohio. Just like the review on http://Ohio.Golf website!

Played 4/13/25 and the course was in really nice shape. Almost all the other area courses were closer or walking only due to April showers but White Pines was mostly dry and running carts. Greens were in great shape. Awesome preseason conditions

Really well kept course. Absolutely beautiful golf in Swanton. Only downside I would say is they schedule pretty close together when really busy. Great course though.

Very nice course. About a 6 or 7 on a scale of 10 as local courses go except for the price. That I give a 10! Greens are good, rough cut short and fairways in pretty good condition. The last day I played there, they were plugging the fairways so it was a bit of a mess to say the least.
