In summary

Whispering Pines Golf Club is highly praised for its well-maintained 9-hole par 3 course, with lush fairways and greens that provide an excellent setting for golfers to work on their short game. The staff is noted for being friendly and helpful, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. While the course is generally well-received, one review mentioned dissatisfaction with the condition of the facilities, highlighting a need for improvement in some areas.

One of the best-kept secrets for a par 3, 9 hole course. Was pleasantly surprised by the conditioning of the course. It would rival any golf course in the area. A great place to work on your short game. Immaculate conditions for the fairways as well as the greens! Glad to see that it has reopened.

Two representatives of our local chapter, the LPGA Amateurs Capital region, visited with some of the staff and played a round of golf at this par 3 executive course. The course is in excellent condition, the fairways and greens are lush despite the heat and lack of rain, thanks to the expertise of the course maintenance director in managing irrigation. We really enjoyed the round; we took a cart but this is a very walkable course. Plans are in the works to expand the pro shop and open a restaurant. There very few options in our region for a short course, good for beginners, but also very good…

This is a beautiful 9 hole golf course. The entire course and grounds are exceptionally maintained. There is pride taken in all that is done here. You have an option to rent a cart or walk this amazing course. Challenges your game at times. Such a nice course to spent an afternoon. The tees and greens are amazing.

Went and played the New Whispering Pines golf coarse today 8/28/24. I was a long time golfer previously and let me tell you this place is gorgeous. The greens and landscaping is beautiful. The prices are super fair. Can’t wait for the club house to be done to hang out and have a beer and a bite to eat. So glad it’s reopened. My one and only gripe that’s not even a big deal is, I wish the tee boxes were marked with what hole they are. First time going I got a little mixed up going to 3.

The newly renovated par 3 course is fantastic! It’s challenging enough to keep the round interesting while still being great for all skill levels. The grounds are in excellent shape, and it’s the perfect place to practice your short game . Highly recommend!

This summer I took a trip down memory lane and headed back to Rotterdam, NY. One of my stops was the newly revamped Whispering Pines Golf Course which to my surprise is open to the public. I was very impressed to say the least. It is beautiful there! The grounds are meticulously maintained by the superintendent and his son. I could tell they really care about the course. The price was fair for 9 holes and for an extra $5 you can play 18. I highly recommend Whispering Pines. I can’t wait to return.

Came here today on a whim not expecting much, but my expectations were certainly exceeded! Course is in great condition, greens played true and overall was very clean. Despite it being a short 9 hole course, the hole variety was nice, and it didn’t feel like I was playing the same hole 9 times. The service inside was very friendly and helpful. Definitely a great way to spend an hour! Will absolutely be coming back.

Played Whispering Pines on 4/21/2025. Nicely designed 9-hole par-3 course. Greens were in excellent shape. Great place to play a quick round and/or work on your short game. Ideal for new or beginning golfers as well. Friendly environment and very reasonably priced at $20 for nine holes and an additional $5 to play 18.
