In summary

Hillcrest Golf Course is appreciated for its friendly staff, reasonable pricing, and a layout that accommodates both beginners and more experienced golfers, with wide fairways and small greens providing a balanced challenge. The course is noted for being well-maintained under new ownership, with a relaxed atmosphere that doesn't require tee times. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about unexpected closures and additional charges, which may affect accessibility for certain players.

Wanted to hit a bucket of balls and the woman in the "clubhouse" scoffed that it was closed because it was too hot.....what?? 1st time I've heard that excuse. Again, a great way to encourage new golfers.

Have had no issues getting in and golfing in the past around 5-530. Showed up today at 5:30 and a new employee informed me that they are closing at 5 pm now and soon even earlier. Not even walking allowed. I sincerely hope this is just an employee thinking he has too much power and not a new practice. What are the guys who get out of work at 5 supposed to do? Very disgruntled. I hope i can receive some kind of answer as to why this change has been made.

Fun 9 hole course. Long enough to challenge your skills without beating you up. Owners do a great job with playing conditions. New practice area is a bonus! Reasonably priced.

Good for beginners with lots of open space. No real fairways just turf till the green. $18 for 9 holes. No need to book tee times, just show up and play.

Nice open course, lots of long drives, ideal spot for beginners looking to practice some straight shots. No real "fairway" turf en route to the holes though. Greens were very slow. But on the other hand, the course was relatively cheap!

Hillcrest is great! No tee times needed, reasonable price, friendly staff, and a good course. The fairways are wide and the greens are small, but adequately challenging. Great mountain views to the east. Just show up, play, and enjoy!

My Grandma, Girlfriend, and I went yesterday, and the lady at the desk and owner were super nice! I can tell they are doing their best to keep the course as nice as they possibly can.
