Van Patten Golf Club

I have been to multiple courses since I moved here a year ago and I would have to say this is my favorite by far! Very nice course and club house, has country club feel to it from the second you pull on to the main road! Decently priced plus if you get the capital region card it’s only 40$ to play 18 with cart! I’ve been to more expensive courses in the area and this one I still feel has nicer greens and landscape and all around view! They also cater to guests which is nice we showed up really early and they had breakfast cooking outside and drinks ready to go, very accommodating!

September, 2025 Van Patten Golf Club hosted a fundraiser for the Saratoga County Animal Shelter. The weather was perfect, and the Van Patten staff was very helpful. The event was well attended and there very happy golfers. I don't think it could have gone any better and we raised over $23,000 for medical equipment for the County Shelter. Compliments were flying! Highly recommend holding a golf outing here.

Great golf course. It's huge, it has 27 holes. Went there as part of a company golf league. Played 1 to 18 hole. The price is reasonable. Golf carts are extra and need to paid per person instead of per golf cart. We had our own push carts. Lot of hills as you go through, so push cart can be really tiring if you are playing more than 9 holes. Recommend getting the golf carts in that case. The course was well kept. Fairways were well groomed. There are some challenging holes. Some of the greens are challenging as well. Went there on a Wednesday. Not a lot of people which meant we could play at o…

Great clubhouse. Hardly ever play the third nine, but 1-18 are good. 10 is a big drop down from the t box,,,that you have to go back up on 18! Some wetness on 7 most of the time but greens are nice. Now it's 2023 .and New owners are installed. Well they have completely fixed the wetness on 7 but have increased the fees a bit. And like all the courses , no water coolers on the course. One other thing, the food is great at the Vista restaurant.

Overall, it’s a solid place to play. The location is convenient, making it easy for both myself and my clients to access. Plus, the pricing is very reasonable. However, on a few occasions, I’ve come across large muddy puddles in certain areas, which made it feel a bit uncomfortable and messy to shoot from. While it doesn’t happen all the time, it’s something that can take away from the experience. That said, I continue to come back for the accessibility and affordability. Hoping to see some course improvements in the future!

Tried the nachos, grilled chicken tacos, and ground beef tacos. All were really good. Trivia was fun.

Really exceptional indoor golf experience We had a birthday party for adults. Very affordable, the host stuck with us to teach us how to use the golf screen, plenty of room. Best party this year!

We had a work-sponsored dinner. Food was great, atmosphere was lovely, staff was very nice and attentive. Would recommend!

We had our first annual golf tournament on July 19th, and we selected Van Pattenn. We are so glad we did. A great time was had by all. From the second we got there and put our clubs on our easily marked carts, it was a great atmosphere with music, burgers, and dogs that were amazing. Brian, the general manager, Bob, the pro, and their staff were fantastic from start to finish. Kurt was great taking pictures and making sure we could relive our memories whenever we want to. Nice layout with tons of potential. Greens were in good shape but the fairways and tee boxes need lots of attention.

While I respect the fact that they are attempting to make vast improvements to the course, the quality at this moment in time is very poor. They have added new carts which are pretty cool but ultimately it’s the same old soggy Van Patten that it’s been for the last 15 years. This course is far away from deserving the $65 for an 18 price tag.
