In summary

Barney Road Golf Course is often praised for its affordability and suitability for beginners, offering a scenic and well-kept par 3, 9-hole layout that is ideal for honing short game skills. Visitors appreciate the friendly atmosphere and the convenience of not needing reservations. However, some reviewers have noted that the greens and fairways can be in less than perfect condition, and there can be occasional slow play due to the course's popularity with beginners and families.

Been coming here for 25 years. This place is great place to hone your short game skills, great for beginners, local par 3, 9 hole course. It's first come, first serve. Price is reasonable, this is a walking course, pull-carts to rent, no riding golf carts. The fairways, greens and tees aren't perfect, but we don't care. I learned here and look forward to teaching my kids here.

Found this little diamond by chance hiding in a little neighborhood in Clifton Park. What a beautiful course and scenic surroundings. well kept, and friendly staff. If fairly compared to other par 3 courses in its own league, this by far is a 5. Very affordable for the beginner, ive been 3 times now, and never disappointed.

Great beginner course cant beat the price if your trying to get out there and learn the game we all know golf can get expensive but having said that this is a winner. If your trying to play one of the top courses around this isn't for you but great for what it is.

Absolute gem of a course amazing for beginners and golfers who are just looking to play a quick round. Beware the players who are dressed like they’re playing at a PGA course. 😂

Nice from the outside😉 I don't play golf but looks like it's popular with many people. Nicely located next to the Barney pond and it's a beautiful area for walks.

Something special about Barney, something that you just cannot wrap your head around. Fun, exhilarating and most importantly dependable. $12-14 bucks to play a fun short-ranged golf course. Just be careful of antsy singles looking to rush your experience, remember if they are looking to pass you, remember that they belong at the bigger courses if they cannot wait. Great all-around fun and a third water hole that may drain your ball supply...yikes. Home of the CPGA!

Beautiful little course. One hole You have to hit over water , no sand bunkers. Two holes are over 180 yards. Some steeply angled greens.

Course is ok for what it is even if the greens are hammered. They used to let you bring your kids to walk with you but they are shutting that down now. Rather disappointing over all. But a great course for new players now.

As a healthy 80 yr old, Barney Road Golf is my go-to walking course. The price is right for seniors at $17 for 18 holes. This 9 hole course has two challenging par 4's and one water hole to test your skills. Although it is well kept, some areas around some Greens have taken a beating, making this course less than pristine.

Course has 8 par 3s and 1 par 4. Good place for beginners or to practice your short game. Unfortunately the greens on several holes are in bad shape. Worse than last year. Bald areas which dip an inch or more that you have to move your ball to putt.

Best par 3 in the northeast that I’ve been to. Played here too many times to count. They’ve got challenging and beginner holes mixed in to make it really fun.

This course is designed for people who are trying to learn the game and do not want to be pushed along. there are no long holes, and all greens have a reasonable slant with grass that causes the ball to run downhill. Some nice things is that you do not need to make a reservation, you can bring kids (provided they are playing), and you can do the course in about an hour so you do not waste your day at a course. This is a nine hole par three course.
