In summary

Vails Grove Golf Course is generally appreciated for its friendly staff and suitability for beginners, offering a straightforward layout that is ideal for learning the basics. However, many experienced golfers express dissatisfaction with the course conditions, citing poorly maintained greens and fairways, and find the pricing to be high for the quality offered. The course's short length and lack of tee time requirements are noted, but some players feel the value does not match the cost.

This golf course is great if you’re looking for some casual Golf. For experienced players, this might not be what you’re looking for. Be ready to be sandwiched between slow moving two pairs of unexperienced golfers, with a line pushing behind you on the weekends. No Ranger, no regulation to play it. It’s the wild West, which is great if you are just getting into the game. But for experience golfers, paying $50 for nine holes will not provide any return on a positive experience.

Been here many times with my golf gang, but yesterday might be one of the last times. For $50, walking 18, the quality of the grounds is quite trash. The tee boxes, greens and fairways are all very poorly managed. Get a tee time at Dutcher for much less, about 15 mins away.

Great course for beginners. But 96 dollars for 2 people to play that course is absurd. Greens are trashed and there is no such thing as a fairway.

Great for new golfers and relaxed. But the course is trashed. There are basically no fairways just light rough. Tee boxes are horrible and the greens in bad shape. Paid $38 walking for 18

The women behind the counter was pretty rude, it seemed like it was an inconvenience that my and my friend showed up to play. For a 9 hole course it is really really expensive. You can play 18 holes with a cart for $49. You can play at a lot of other full golf courses for that amount or even less. The course was in alright condition. The tee boxes and some greens need work. There are some holes where your view of the green is blocked so you’ll need to drive up over a hill to see that it’s just 155 yards straight. It’s nice they don’t require tee times but for all that’s wrong with this course,…

$60 for the worst greens in the area. Bunkers basically in the greens.

If you're a beginner to golf, this is an excellent starter course. All the holes are very straightforward and good to learn the basics on. Would highly recommend to beginners.

Finally stopped in after passing this course so many times bypassing I84 and I684 traffic. Staff got me fitted with clubs and out on the course in no time. The course was fun and challenging enough. Highly recommended

I gave it a 1 star because google doesn’t let you go any lower. The property is trashed! More dead grass than green. The employees are rude and not very welcoming. For having to pay $85 for 2 people to ride a course you’d think there’d be something to write home about. But there’s absolutely not good to say about this place.

Staff is friendly and course is kept nicely, but 32 for 9 holes is not a great rate, also good for beginning players.

Great quiet course. Always a nice time. But $30 to walk nine is too much.
