We play here pretty often. It’s a solid golf course with well-kept grounds and friendly staff. The food is consistently good, making it a nice place to relax and enjoy a round.

Terrible course conditions and rude staff. Stereotypical club house attitude. Cant ask a simple question without them talking to you like you’re an idiot. Very entitled for a horrible course. I called to see if I could be added to a friend’s tee time and before I even started telling the guy on the phone any details. He said “no. Your friends Curtis already called. I told him no.” I have no clue who Curtis is and he had a tone like I should’ve known better for asking. Who else am I supposed to get this information from other than the pro shop. No matter how respectful you are these guys are…

I can't believe they don't have winter rates at all. I will start by saying I paid $55 today 3/6/26 and played a great round with my brother from another mother! However I know it's in the early spring season and the grass in the fairways havent started to grow in yet, but the course is in terrible condition. Cart paths are dug up, cart GPS stops you on the cartpaths that do exist and say you are in a restricted area and you have to back up to an unrestricted area which usually was the middle of the fairway. Moles have destroyed alot of the course. They have put several preventive measures to…

Used to be a decent course at a very affordable price. Now it's priced above other courses in the area ($55 on a Saturday vs $47 for Connemara for reference) and is by far the worst condition. Fairway grass is pitiful, and something has happened to nearly all the greens recently to make them look scorched. Ranger drives around all day, but no beverage cart on a hot saturday when every tee time is booked. Seems like the staff care a lot more about acting like they own a PGA level course than actually making the course on par with the Lexington city courses 15 minutes down the road. Hadn't been…

I’ve played a lot of courses, but Thoroughbred Golf Club feels more like a goat ranch than a golf course. The greens are always punched—seriously. Fairways? If you can find any grass, consider it a miracle. Most of the time it’s just patches of dirt with some weeds trying to pass as turf. It’s more like hitting off a gravel driveway than a fairway. Maintenance is clearly not a priority, and it shows. Save your money unless you’re looking for a place to practice your desert golf game or herd livestock

Decent little layout... Half of the holes have small greens so irons/wedges better be on point... Some very deceptive greens to read with great undulations... Semi rolling hills the course is laid out on which make for nice scenery... I wouldn't play there full time but nice little track to play now and then... From outside looks like a nice barn; then walk inside to a brand new renovated pro shop, gift shop and more so a very nice little restaurant and bar with 8/10food

The course is OPEN - unlike some others in the area at the time of this review. All 18 greens are OPEN - no temporary greens unlike other courses in the area at the time of this review. Is it dry? YES- no fault of their own. Is it playable? YES! Will it green up this week with rain? 100% YES! All they ask is that you keep up the pace of play. Pretty simple!

Great course. Gps carts and killer hot dogs. Got a beverage cart running around this summer. Highly recommend.

Staff is great. Friendly and helpful. Bar is open for drinks and food. Early season golf was fun and the course is in good shape considering the time of year.

This was my first time playing this course. I had the worst golf cart I have ever had. It was very slow, which was okay, except it would randomly stop working. Apparently if the gps "thinks" the cart is not in a location to be driven, it locks the cart from moving forward. This is extremely dangerous. I was next to a body of water and the cart would not go forward. Luckily the brake was enough to prevent disaster. Had to push it forward. On another hole I was crossing a road and it shut off. Me and my friend had to push it off, luckily there was no car coming. On several holes I saw the people…

uneaven grass cut condition on fairway, most of them was too long for fairway but some holes are right short cut grass. it is another way of FUN!? Greens were all good!

This course is TRASH! Has gone downhill over the years. Played there earlier this week all the fairways are burn and hard as a rock. You'd have better luck going and playing on concrete. Asked why they haven't been watering and they said, "we are low on water and using it on our greens" LOL! The greens were not much better than the fairways. Almost broke my 60-degree trying to chip a ball the ground was so hard. STAY AWAY!
