In summary

The Palms Golf Club at Forrest Lakes is praised for its unique and challenging layout, friendly staff, and generally well-maintained greens. Visitors appreciate the course's variety, with its mix of par 3s and regulation-length holes, making it suitable for golfers of all skill levels. However, some guests have experienced issues with slow pace of play and inconsistent course conditions, particularly with the fairways. Pricing and value for money are also points of contention for some players.

Course was in the best shape I have ever seen it. GREAT PRICE. The greens were small, but very challenge to putt and they putted fast and smooth. The greens keeper is doing a great job, and all the employees were very friendly and helpful. We will be back......

Understaffed and mis managed. Paid for 18 holes only to be delayed by 4 - foursomes backed up on the 10th tee. Asked for refund and was provided 10 dollars (difference between 9 and 18 holes). Won't be back. Buyer beware.

Nice course, friendly people. Driving range ( I think the only one at Rotonda golf) course we played in March was in good shape and challenging for everyone. But unfortunately, if four flights are at a hole ( three wating at the tee) something is totally wrong. If you need 3 hours for 9 holes, something is totally wrong. Obviously, the management is more interested in making money, than providing a comfortable and satisfying round for the players. That's bad....

Really enjoyed my round at The Palms. The course isn’t super long, but it’s in great shape and has a fun layout that keeps you on your toes. Super friendly staff, easy pace, and just an all-around great vibe! Definitely planning to come back

I don’t know what happened, but the fairways are all burnt out and in horrible shape. You can see in the pictures, the greens are actually in decent shape but the fairways were burnt or bare spots. Short course, good for short game practice. Currently overpriced for the condition that it is in. The pace of play on a Sunday afternoon was great, I had no one in front of me and played in 2 hours. Hopefully the grass starts growing soon, it is usually in much better shape.

Original 3 star review: Visited just before new years from Michigan and it felt great to be golfing again. The greens were the highlight of the course and were in great condition. The rest of it was a mixed bag. The fairways were patchy (immaculate in some areas, dirt in others) and the tee boxes were mediocre at best. I've used some bad rental clubs before but the bags my wife and I got were particularly bad. Piecemeal sets that badly needed regripped at the very least, ultimately should have been retired long ago. I don't want to make it sound like it was absolutely terrible because it wasn'…

The Palms Golf Club at Forest Lakes is a truly unique layout. The new Palms Golf Club is a par 64 course that will challenge every aspect of your game regardless of how good or bad you are. You’ll find four sets of tees with distances ranging 2,731 and 4,545 yards, making it a great course for juniors and newcomers to the game. Celebration fairways, mature trees and TifEagle greens that typically run about 10.5 – 11 on the stimpmeter make for great golfing conditions. What makes the “Presidential”-style course so unique is that the front nine is a regulation-length nine with a par of 35 while…

This course is NOT worth any green fees! It's an executive par 3, don't let them tell you any different. It was $70 for 9 holes and I asked about the pricing and the attendant said "Were in season". I've played at a number of courses in the area, and paid more, but this one, STAY AWAY!

7 par 3s on the back 9. One of them is 60 yards. Not a serious golf course

We were signed up to golf 18 last Monday. Got there with our of town guests & we are told they are aerating the front 9 today so we can play back 9 twice if we want. We decided to do only the back 9 once. Price was $32.05 each for 9 holes verses $39.95 each for 18 holes! We thought they made a mistake because it wasn’t much of a break. The worst part is that the putting greens & tee boxes were terrible! The putting greens were burnt out & several tee boxes didn’t even have the markers! Markers desperately need to be replaced. Even a good paint job would help to start! We were really embarrasse…
