In summary

Tatum Ridge Golf Links receives praise for its scenic layout and friendly staff, with some visitors enjoying the challenging greens and overall course design. However, there are mixed reviews regarding the course's condition, with several noting issues with tee boxes, fairways, and the practice range. Additionally, slow pace of play and lack of on-course amenities like a beverage cart are common concerns among players.

Average golf course with quite a bit of sand, and some water. Sand hill cranes, gators and turtles are fun to see. No beverage cart. Course could benefit from a course ranger as pace of play was slow. Husband got a hole in one on hole #3- verified by the couple they paired us with. The course didn't even comp him a Gatorade. Cost was $107 (including taxes) for 18 holes with a cart at 11:56 a.m.

Course is on the way back after years of poor conditioning. Greens and their surrounds were excellent. Almost all fairways were good. Some tee boxes are still in poor condition. Despite terrible drought conditions in February 2026, the course was is surprisingly good condition. Have played here for years and always liked the layout. It's nice to see the management taking better care of the place.

Took us one hour to complete three holes. We left the course on the fifth hole. Pro shop has answering service and does NOT employ ranger to monitor play. Pro shop accepts NO responsibility. If you like a six hour round… This is the place to play!

Flew into Sarasota yesterday and had a 12:12 tee time. I got in later than expected and knew with the traffic I wouldn't make it on time. So I called the pro shop as soon as I got my rental car and they were very accommodating - moving me to 12:52. I got there early and as I reached into my bag for my putter to hit the practice area, I realized I left it back home thousands of miles away. Pat hooked me up with a spare and while it was a bit of a change from my putter, it was all about the gesture. They were so kind and that set everything up for a great experience. From the course perspective,…

The course layout was top-notch, with challenging holes that kept me engaged and excited throughout the round. One of the best things about this course was the pace of play, which was lightning-fast at just 3 hours. I appreciated being able to complete my round in a timely manner, without feeling rushed or held up by slower players. The greens were another highlight of this course, although they did pose a bit of a challenge. They were fast and a little tricky to read, but ultimately made for a satisfying putting experience. The fairways were generally in good condition, although I did notice…

If you’re looking for the cheapest round in town, and don’t care about the condition of the tee boxes or fairways in general, might be a good spot for you. The place is just in terrible shape. Hitting tee shots on par 3s here is similar to hitting bunker shots. Every tee box is shredded. Fairways are the same, bald spots everywhere. The grass in your backyard is likely a significant upgrade from the fairways here. The greens are actually in good shape, but very slow, which was very different from the other places I have played in Sarasota. Definitely took me a couple holes to get used to. T…

I've played this course over the last three years and for a public course it's been in good shape. Played yesterday for first time since the springtime and it's as if course maintenance is no existent. Roughly 70% of the tee boxes were dirt and sand. Fairways were either wet or beat up from the summer heat or lack of maintenance. Greens were ok but everyone of them had loose sand. It didn't appear the greens were aerated. Sand was just lightly spread across them. I'm hoping that the course can make a comeback over the next month or so.

Played the course for the first time today. It was in OK shape; not great but not horrible. Very quiet, scenic. Lots of birds and water. I would probably give the course itself a 3, but everyone was friendly and they have a full range where you can hit off grass and decent putting green so that was enough to bump it to a 4 rating. You get what you pay for. If you pay $30 to play a round don’t expect it to be in the same shape as a course that costs $80. The pace was super slow and I stopped after 9 even though I paid for 18, I just couldn’t spend another two hours waiting on every tee box be…

Really enjoyed playing your course today. The greens were awesome, and your fairways were OK, but a little wet and patchy in some areas. Some of your tees were in bad shape, but playable. Don't understand why you will not accept tee times over the phone without a payment to your reservation service? You can't even contact the pro shop.......Sorry, but I'm not paying for my whole foursome to play before we get to play..........I bet this is the reason you don't get much play and the reason we only saw about 20 people playing the course today! TOO BAD because it is a fun and enjoyable course to…

Practice range isn’t worth the money unless you’re practicing hitting out of the rough/bad lies. Not maintained at all, crab grass, and weeds throughout. Tough to even practice driver with the ground so uneven. Interesting that they have ropes to show you where you’re supposed to practice, but it’s literally all weeds and uneven ground. For $10 every 50 balls, do yourself a favor and find another range nearby where you can actually practice shots you would likely take from the fairway. Most balls have been run over by the lawn mower anyways and have slices through a quarter of the ball. So…
