Bones Trance National Golf Course is a beautiful and well-maintained course with great layouts and challenging holes. The greens are in excellent shape and the overall experience feels premium. Be aware that they are very strict about clothing and dress code, so make sure you come properly dressed. Once you know the rules, it’s an enjoyable place to play and worth the visit.

I have been a member for a couple of years and have consistently found the staff to be exceptional. The course presents various challenges that contribute to skill development while also providing an enjoyable playing experience. There are numerous activities available for children. The membership rates are quite reasonable, which adds value to the overall experience. I appreciate being part of this community, as the initiatives to promote member engagement are commendable and could be further strengthened to enhance interpersonal connections.

Played course in June it was great. Drove down from Indianapolis this weekend Oct 11 course is a disaster. No way should they have charged full price? Disease and dead grass everywhere Tall grass on tee boxes to cover up dead spots. Do not waste your money

Great layout, but disappointed in the condition for end of May. "Sand" traps were completely unplayable, tees and greens were a little rough for late May. Fairways were good but keep it tight or you will lose a lot of balls. $68 weekend rate including cart and range balls.

Played today for the first time. Very disappointed. Way over priced for winter rates $72 each fairways were ok but the greens are horrible. Seem to be frost bit everywhere bare patches are everywhere. Will definitely not be back worth maybe $40 but $72 is ridiculous

The Boone's Trace staff might just be the friendliest folk in any golf club I've visited in Kentucky. I find a warm welcome in the pro shop jumpstarts my round before I've started onto the tee box. The new layout of the course on the front nine works well and eases players into the round, leaving those treacherous sloped fairways until later on the front. Greens are quick yet manageable. Fairways are neat and crisp, though the onslaught of the sprinkler washed out the most prized area on 14 at around 5 o' clock, making a clean approach more difficult. The rough is worth staying out of. You'll…

Staff is excellent and courteous! The course is always is great shape and offers a variety of shots required of all golfers. Bring your "A Game" and use every club in the bag! The course improvements made over the past 3 years is a tribute to their dedication to provide a great golf experience. Restaurant staff is tops and food is great. Best of all, pace of play... it moves!

Good price, nice greens, but a very underwhelming experience. No food or snacks in the clubhouse, they were OUT OF GOLFBALLS! Tee boxes, fairways and traps were in rough shape.

Course was in excellent condition, even after days of rain. Elevation changes, native grass areas, bunkers, and water provide a challenge to offset wide fairways and rolling greens. Proshop was being renovated, but I'm looking forward to playing here again.

Each year this course and its facilities get better and better. This is easily one of the best slope style courses you will find in Kentucky and that combined with it's location along the Kentucky river and an awesome restaurant with TV's almost everywhere are three of the biggest traits that make this course unique.

Beautiful golf course in an equally beautiful neighborhood. Staff was very nice and helpful. For a high handicap player like myself I felt like the course was a bit tougher than most of the ones I've played in and around the Lexington area. Despite my below average playing I still had a good time and will be back once my skills improve. Also as far as yearly memberships go this one is definitely much more reasonable than other courses of this calibre.
