Southward Ho Country Club

This is one of the best/ relaxing courses on the island. It’s very easy will little to no hills it’s pretty flat. Loved playing here as a kid and now. The caddies alway have your back and are all fairly good at the job. Everyone shows lots of respect and it’s just a very friendly environment 10/10 would recommend playing here.

I was here for a high school reunions. Very nice, very well-kept grounds, wonderful catering facilities, the food was great, the staff was great, the drinks were strong. I highly recommend this to anybody considering a a party of any kind. We had access to both the inside and the outside. The weather was fine. It was nice celebration in a very nice facility.

The Southward Ho Country Club is a Charming place, Very classy, with great decor. I was there for a Christmas party, and we had a blast. The staff is excellent. I would love to give thanks to all the staff and especially to the Dominican girl 🇩🇴 at the Ramsay party. The food was excellent. I highly recommend it.

I went as a guest of a member...you cannot enter without membership..but it was excellant. What a great lunch we had, food delicious waitstaff incredible views of the golf course were amazing

Very lovely place..just had a face lift inside..all new and a fresh outlook..food outrageous..very fresh & very tasty..great to have a party at..and if you are looking for a place for a Wedding, Anniversary party or a Fundraiser this is the place!! Staff is wonderful, very professional and very knowledgeable..no worries..

We had a special event there today and the service was very very good! The food was scrumptious! It is a golf and country club and i dont know if it's open to public. Great for a large number of people!

Overall just a very great course, not to pricey, the greens and fairways are all well taken care of and the staff are very friendly. I love Dave Preston.

Warning: Brutally Honest And Long Overdue Rant Ahead I've been hesitating on writing this review simply because as I recall not so long ago (or was it?) the Southward Ho was once the cat's meow of the South Shore of Long Island. Being a member of Southward Ho once represented wealth, community, and leadership. It was always much more than a golf course and hall. It was a historic landmark that offered locals a warm feelings of nostalgia with every slow drive past. Fascinatingly enough, to this day members shell out hundreds of thousands of dollars just for a seat on "the board". But, for why?…
