I’ve played a lot of courses, and I can honestly say the way our group was spoken to here by the staff is unacceptable and downright disrespectful. A course can be in great shape, but if the people running it make you feel unwelcome, it’s not worth coming back. Until the staff addresses how they treat their paying customers, this is not a place I’d recommend playing a round of golf. But hey, if you want to be followed around and screamed at by the staff while playing a round, this is the course for you!

We've only recently begun playing this nine-hole course and really enjoy it, we knocked off one star because it can tend to be a bit slow taking two and a half hours and even longer sometimes. The staff are super friendly and it's affordable and the course is very forgiving if not hilly. I wish there were more drink and food options but that won't stop us from coming back.

Played Northport VA Golf Course today with two friends. We’re all in our 30s, pretty regular golfers, and were honestly just looking forward to a relaxed round on a nice day. Instead, we left annoyed and disrespected, and not because of the course or the other players, but because of how we were treated by one of the staff members. We ended up behind a single older gentleman who was walking the course. And to be totally clear — he wasn’t doing anything wrong. He was enjoying his round at his own pace, and that’s totally fine. We weren’t in any rush. We gave him space, waited when we had to, a…

Great 9 hole course to practice your game and hone your skills. The Northport VA Golf Course is in good shape and the staff is "golfer friendly" ... try it and you'll be "hooked"! Oh, by the way, did I mention their signature clubhouse "Oyster Bar"? Enjoy!😉

Good. Open. Expanding patio in back. New practice green. Greens okay but beginning to show ware & lack of ball mark fixing. Sad. Not a 'great' deal on price for short (not Executive or Championship (less) , 9 hole (2 par3 one par 5), very open. Very limited food (none) & beverage available (lots of h2o maybe soda, coffee cup machine). Nice but no bargain.

The course at the start of the season was very good the tee boxes and greens were in good shape. The fourth hole renovation of the bunker was well done and helps speed up play. As the season went on the tee boxes have become extremely poor condition and the greens became weedy. I think the tee boxes would benefit from some seed and water on a regular basis. Hoping to see a come back next season.

Nice little nine hole course with volunteer staffers. All proceeds used to benefit our deserving veterans. Can be a bit slow at times but manageable.

A fun course for golfers of all abilities. It is reasonably priced and has a variety of holes that will keep you engaged. The holes are fairly open so beginners won't get into too much trouble.

Such a great course. Well maintained, clean and friendly staff. Free bottle of water with every round!

Very nice, open course. For us senior citizens, the par 4s can be reached in 2. My only complaint is that the greens are very small, so you may be doing alot of chipping and pitching. I am a pretty good putter, so the small greens hurt my game a little. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

One of the best maintained courses in NY. Very spacious, open field, with enough holes to use your driver, test your short game prowess or prove you can handle putting under pressure. A true hidden gem. Kudos to the entire staff. They have always been great every time I'm there.

Really beautiful course. Don’t let the short 9 holes trick you, it’s a challenging course. Very friendly staff. I was fortunate enough to join three men who worked for the course. They were welcoming, encouraging and an overall great time. I decided to become a member, why not, it’s free!
