In summary

Dix Hills Park Golf Course is appreciated for its well-maintained 9-hole layout, which is particularly suitable for beginners and those looking to improve their short game. The course is set in a tranquil, wooded environment and is supported by friendly and helpful staff. However, some visitors have noted issues with course conditions, such as poorly maintained tee boxes and greens, and mention that the pace of play can be slow, especially during busy times.

As one of the few remaining 9 Hole Golf Courses open to the general public and town residents, this venue provides an excellent opportunity to improve your second shot through short game. A long iron off the tee from any of the Par 4’s will leave a nice 60 to 120 yard wedge shot onto the green for birdie if you're successful. Worse case scenario you have a great opportunity to Par the hole and continue your round. Courses of this nature assist the average golfer with the ability to measure their shots and associated yardage to enhance/document their game as they move onto greater challenges w…

Beautiful park. Today went there for golf driving range. It's nice to be there. Very nice and well kept park. Went in to pay for driving range. Guy behind the counter was nice and welcoming. He is very polite forget to ask his name. They charge 10 dollars for 75 practice balls. Definitely will play 9 hole next time. This park is beautiful. Must go place

9 hole course that is beautifully kept. One of the better muni courses I've played on. There is a small driving range for irons only. We had a 330 tee time and started a bit late but it's because it was father's day so it was super crowded. There is also a very nice practice putting green and chipping area. The course itself is plays well for beginners in my opinion. Mainly par 3s with some long par 4s. No par 5. Longest hole is ~315. Overall great bang for your buck if you're looking for an easy and chill 9 hole course. Course is very well maintained.

Simple 9 hole course with par 4s and 5s. Holes don’t have a ton of variety, most are pretty straight. Greens are slow and conditions could definitely be better around the fairways. Lots of rough will just be patches of dirt or patchy grass on super hard dirt. You definitely get what you pay for here. Relatively cheap 9 ($22 greens fee and $15 for a cart). Often times beginners will be here so pace of play is somewhat slow. Good place for beginners or those looking to work on their game.

Not worth the price for the conditions of the course but still a fun course and extremely easy. It’s $11 for Juniors and $20 for anyone above 14 years old, not sure if they have a senior/elderly rate or not. The course conditions really aren’t great. The tee boxes are pretty torn up and full of weeds and on some of the holes theres more dirt than grass in the fairway. You can find yourself on a rocky dirt path while being in the middle of the fairway. The bunkers are full or rocks and not soft sand at all. The greens are super slow. Also theres a couple big hills which are a little annoying wh…

We had a very pleasant time . As a newbie this course was great for learning experience price point is great for this. Place is bit dated but that doesnt effect game play. And if it matters to anyone golf carts were clean nice and charged. And enough staff around in case needed . I will be attending again

Really nicely maintained course. Lots of straightaways and par 3 holes. Would love it if they had more outhouses…

Wonderful location and scenic area. The course unfortunately was like playing on concrete.

Friendly starters and pro shop staff; unfortunately the course has been neglected. 4 of the 9 holes have temporary tee boxes that consist of golf range mats while traps and fairways need to lose pebbles and small rocks. That all said Dix Hills GC is currently better off as a dog park.

I've been golfing Dix Hills for 3 years now and it's a beautiful 9 hole course. Well maintained, woodsy, and tranquil. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Even if I play a bad round of golf, it's always an enjoyable day at Dix Hills.

Absolutely horrible course, it’s been in the same horrible condition for the past year. Nothing has changed. $38 is not worth it, it’s a rip off. Greens are awful, fairways are horrendous, tee boxes are atrocious. They do not take care of this course. Do not waste your money, go to Gull haven in central Islip, much better maintained course.
