In summary

Cold Spring Country Club is often praised for its well-maintained golf course, picturesque setting, and friendly staff, with many visitors enjoying the challenging layout and the historical ambiance of the area. The club's amenities, including dining options and event hosting capabilities, are also highlighted positively. However, some criticisms include concerns about management oversight during events and issues with the surrounding neighborhood, such as errant golf balls and maintenance challenges.

As an avid golfer with years of experience playing courses around the world, I can honestly say this was the worst I’ve encountered. The facilities were extremely unkept and frankly disgusting, and the staff were consistently rude throughout my visit. Between the poor maintenance and the lack of professionalism, I cannot recommend Cold Spring Country Club to anyone.

I recently had the pleasure of playing golf at the prestigious Cold Spring Country Club, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish! The exceptional service and expertise of our caddy, Chef (Mark), added an extra layer of enjoyment to our round. Chef, was a fantastic guide throughout the course. His knowledge of the game and friendly demeanor created a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. He shared insightful tips and engaging stories that made our golfing experience truly unforgettable. Speaking of the club, the course was an absolute gem. Every inch of the fairways and greens was met…

Awesome place, with a great history, the hill on which the house stands was poured for 2 years to make the house one of the highest in the area. Thanks to the new owner of the house, who restored it and now it is available for visits to a restaurant or hotel. Expensive, rich and autumn is beautiful.

This review is for Cold Spring Harbor Country Club...not Oheka Castle. Situated around the gorgeous landmark, this course is well kept, has some good length and offers beautiful views/photo opportunities with the castle in the backdrop. Since the course runs down from castle there is a decent amount of undulation (hills) which make for a challenge with uneven lies and breaking putts on the greens. The staff is amazing from the pro shop and caddies to the dining room staff and maintenance workers. 10/10 country club experience. Definitely recommend playing/visiting if you're fortunate enough to…

I am a long time resident of the cold spring hills community. My home unfortunately my back yard is a open like the southern border, errand balls damage my family and other homes in the community. The also marked out a illegal right " "right of way" on West gate dr one of the two cross roads into Cold spring hills and right when you come around the last corner to where you can't see the traffic bottlenecking at the light to Jericho they also have a right away where they tee off to a hole that's on the other side of the road. I personally when I was just a young teenager was in a friend's paren…

Fabulous place, especially for catered affairs. Spectacular golf course. Note: the picture of Oheka Castle is misleading. The golf course goes around the castle, with wonderful views from many holes, but the castle is not part of the club. It is separately owned. Cold Spring has its own club house that has been recently redecorated and is lovely.

We recently had our daughter's Bat Mitzvah reception here. Beautiful venue for a party. Second floor, especially, has an old-world, elegant appeal. Food is outstanding, their catering chef truly cares. Staff/servers are all professional, friendly, pleasant, and helpful. Our event ran like clockwork. The catering/event manager was, quite literally, in the middle of preparations for her own wedding around the time of planning for our event. She was professional and well-intentioned, but her mind was often elsewhere (as is to be expected from someone planning their own wedding while working). Al…

The service is superb. How the waiter remembers everyone's order without taking notes and then remembers who ordered what is just amazing. The ambiance is lovely . Valet service is lovely . Some dishes were not as good id have liked to see consistency with the food. For the price, all the dishes should have been equally delicious.

Splendid location for that special occasion, but beware of how many guests you are inviting, because some rooms get too uncomfortably crowded quite quickly. Hotel rooms are scrumptious, comfy, and luxurious. You don't come here for the food (even though they have a restaurant) - you come for the ambience of the castle itself!

It is a fantastic private club.Cold Spring Country Club, founded in 1947, is a hidden jewel on Long Island's historic "gold coast". For 70 years they have offered their members a spectacular private country club experience and offer premiere golf course and dynamic tennis program. Cold Spring Country Club is also a prime venue to host your special events.
