In summary

Murrysville Golf Club receives praise for its friendly staff, well-maintained greens, and enjoyable course layout, with events like the Irish Open and Night Golf adding to its appeal. However, some visitors express concerns over maintenance issues, high green fees, and occasional disruptions in pace of play due to large groups or course layout changes. While many appreciate the improvements made by new ownership, others feel that certain aspects, such as pin placements and tournament management, could be better handled.

Very nice course tucked away in a nice neighborhood. Not overly challenging but still fun. I think the green fees are a little high. Some other nearby courses are just as nice or nicer and less expensive. That being said, it’s golf. It’s not a budget hobby.

Update for June 2026 The course remained in very good condition as noted below. However, I do have one maintenance complaint. All of the greens had a greenish/blue dye that got on everything - golf ball, putter, golf towel, and shoes. I’m sure this is some sort of pigment dye or iron fertilizer to keep the greens just that - green. Unfortunately, my tan golf shoes now have a tint of blue to them even after I cleaned them. Please come up with a better solution to keep the greens looking good other than this coloring dye. If you play here in the next week or two do not wear light colored shoes…

I had a 8:56 tee time with 2 new golfers. We were playing best ball and was told after 2 shots we were not keeping pace of play because a group of 16 golfers complained after 1 shot at hole 1. Greens are terribly maintained as well as the fairways. If you want a relaxing round of golf, this is not the place for you.

This is currently a 17 hole course. They have a hole closed on the back and do not make mention of this. The course itself is fine, and the staff is always friendly. Also, your likelihood of being struck by a ball here is higher than most courses. This seems to be the product of the course’s tight layout mixed with type of golfer this course attracts.

Use to be decent course, bur no longer. Weeds on tee box. Greens with lots of dirt and disease. Par 3 13 is under repair and you skip it. They have the nerve to charge 50 dollars for a cow pasture.

The bones are there for a fun/challenging little course, but it needs a ton of maintenance. Lots of overgrown trees/shrubs that need cleaned up and the cart paths are in terrible shape. The greens were inconsistent at best. Another complaint is that our group got one of the earliest tee times so we could play quickly. For some reason, this course sent a 24 person (6 foursomes) group off of 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 1 so we ran into a complete log jam at the end of our round.

Played here last Sunday. The course itself is ok but nothing special. Greens were definitely in good condition, tee boxes needed some work. Guy working the proshop in the afternoon was rushing us to finish the minute we made the turn at 1:45 pm (11:30 am start time). Said he needed to leave by 4 which is ridiculous for a Sunday during peak season. Don’t offer tee times at full price just to rush patrons that are keeping pace. Will not return.

Not to be rude but $30 for 9 with a cart for it to be like basically uncut. The first hole didn’t even have a tee box.

Played the Irish Open yesterday. The event is a great way to kick off golf season every year, and despite the cold weather, we had a blast. I highly recommend you ask about the Night Golf events. Spoiler its glow in the dark golf balls and it’s the most fun you’ll have all year, I promise. Lookjng forward to another summer of golf at MGC.

As a life long player of this course,, I was pleasantly surprised how much the new ownership has improved the course. Fairways and greens were spongy and awesome. Clubhouse is inviting and affordable, beers was cold. Perfect day.

Tough course with greens that are always fast and well kept. Tee to green pretty straightforward, but you can make up a lot of strokes around and on the green. Our league recently switched to MGC and we are very pleased with not only the accommodation Jack and his team made to get us in late in the season, but I was also pleased with the promptness they handled a minor issue we had with rate of play and our starting time. The owner (Jack) reached out to me personally and rectified it, cannot ask for much more from an establishment. Thanks!
