In summary

Maple Crest Golf Course is appreciated for its affordable pricing and friendly staff, with some visitors enjoying the scenic layout and beer selection. However, many golfers express concerns about the course's maintenance, noting rough tee boxes, pitted greens, and challenging terrain with blind holes. While some find it a decent option for practicing irons, others feel the condition detracts from the overall experience.

The price was great and the staff was very nice. It is definitely a more technical course with drastic terrain fluctuations. Play conservative on your first time through on the blind holes. The tee boxes and greens were about what I expected for the price: a little pitted and not-so maintained. I'll go back.

Played 9 holes last week. The pro shop and staff seemed nice, but the course was not very good. The tee boxes very rough, and the greens were pitted and not well maintained. The course was very hilly, even more so than a typical Pittsburgh course. Several of the holes were completely blind from the tee to green. I hate to give bad reviews but... NEVER, EVER, EVER play here unless you're on a dirt bike or ATV, in which case I'd say "have at it!" In seriousness, you lose your golf ball right in the middle of the, uh, field thingy they call a fairway. The greens are actually bent grass, but they have large cracked swaths resembling the Death Valley desert floor, making putting impossible. Sadly, the layout could make a decent executive Par 3 course. For a few more dollars, I could have played GrandView in North Braddock, which is in immaculate condition 100% of the time. I'm going to starve myself for a…

Only a 9 hole course though, but scenic. Great beer selection and the course is better than the price would indicate.

Nice staff. Honestly the most poorly maintained course I've ever seen. Spend a couple more bucks and go somewhere else.
