In summary

3 Lakes Golf Course is often praised for its well-maintained greens and fairways, challenging layout, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among both locals and visitors. The course offers a good variety of holes and is considered affordable, with amenities like a clubhouse and carts enhancing the experience. However, some guests have reported issues with drainage, overbooking of tee times, and occasional management or customer service concerns, which can affect the overall experience.

So much good grass and great long playable golf holes. Super signage at every tee with maps! Challenging for beginners but fun for experienced golfers. AFFORDABLE @ $32 per. Cart and canned mixed drinks avail. Play quick play 9-18! Nice place. Glad we finally got in a round.

Beautiful course, very tough and small greens, I’ve been here 3 separate times at all different times in the seasons and the only issue I see is with drainage, they have some water issues and that can lessen the experience but not by much. Great course, pleasant staff, awesome halfway house, carts are solid. Not a bad value but also nothing to rave about on that end. Overall I think this course is worth trying if you haven’t been and it was challenging to me as a 10 hcp. It is a bit short but it focuses more on accuracy over power which we all can appreciate.

Better shape than I expected for March. The staff is friendly. Okay carts. Plenty of parking. The course is good, not great. Worth the price. Nothing fancy.

Xavier gave up drinking on the course, so he played this aggressive shot from the cart path. Course was in great shape, great idea with the shotgun start at 8 am!

They booked 6 people on our tee time. 2/2/1/1… how? Fairways and greens were surprisingly nice. Wild beer prices, insane.

Great course. We'll maintained witb nice mature trees. Great staff. Fairways were nice and wide setting up good approaches to greens. Very hilly, great for a calf workout

Great affordable course. The greens and fairways were in mostly good shape even on a rainy day. Think it's great value for your money. Even as a high handicapper, I was able to finish 18 holes in ~2.5 hrs playing solo on a Wednesday afternoon. Warning: Same thing can take 5 hrs on weekends.

Nice course that is very well maintained. Plenty of challenging holes with some of the larger greens I've played on recently. Ranger was out and about ensuring a good pace from everyone. I would definitely play here again.

Make sure you know what you’re doing because they’re quick to offer you your money back and bully you off the course me and my husband first time experience was horrible. The owner was very rude Not a friendly course at all if you think you’re going to go there to golf and have a good time, you are not especially if it’s your first time golfing they will kick you off their course They don’t tell you what to do or teach you how to do anything just come and bully you right out nothing says you have to know all the rules and kno how to play or you can’t come, especially when they’re not giving yo…

This is my favorite public course in the Pittsburgh area. The course is always very well maintained. It is plenty challenging for an average golfer, but open enough where you aren't constantly losing balls every hole. I play as a single a lot, and always get paired up with others. I will say that as of today, I have never had a bad experience playing with other people at 3 Lakes. Everyone has been friendly, personable, and enjoyable to play with. The new clubhouse and outdoor area is top drawer; one of the best I have ever seen on a public course. If you are looking for a very good public cour…

I visit Pittsburgh once a year and always make time to play this beautiful golf course. It’s impeccably maintained—challenging yet still perfect for amateurs like me who simply want to enjoy nature, hit a few great shots, and appreciate the well-kept fairways, roughs, and greens. This course delivers on every level.

The young girl at the desk was very nice and given the dry summer we’ve had the course was in good condition,Traps need attention and It is by far the hilliest Course I’ve ever played. The holes have been moved around so it’s tricky figuring out your GPS .I can see it being a shooting gallery on a very busy day with many parallel fairways. The greens are nice but on the small side.Overall I got a Muni course vibe.
