In summary

Mill Pond Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, beautiful Scottish-style links layout, and friendly, accommodating staff. Many visitors appreciate the excellent condition of the greens and the overall challenging nature of the course. However, some golfers have expressed concerns about slow pace of play, particularly on weekends, and issues with tee time management, which can lead to delays and overcrowding. Additionally, there are occasional critiques regarding the availability of amenities such as the concession stand and course facilities.

The course itself is very nice, conditions are kept very well, this is more about the staff. We had a tee time at 9:08, at 8:45 we had a family emergency, the starter overheard the conversation on the phone, meanwhile our bags were on the cart ready to go, he came over and said take care of what you need leave your stuff here and whenever you get back I’ll get you right out, humanity restored this morning.

Course is in great shape. Greens getting over the aeration but not too bumpy else is in very good condition played on 5/12 didn't have to wait on many tee boxes.

Absolutely beautiful course. Good golf pros for lessons and club fitting. Excellent range and practice putting green. This golf course is beautifully maintained. One could easily travel this course with a camera as well as a set of clubs as it is a beautiful Scottish style links course.

Every time ive ever played (3 rounds) there has been 1-3 groups waiting on every single hole. No exaggeration. 2-6 carts on each tee box. Every round. They have tee times 8 mins apart and you will have a 6 hour round if you play here on the weekend. Money hungry and ruining the game. Do not play here if you are expecting a 4-5 hour round.

Staff was excellent, late round 12 through 18 was backed up, recommended going out on the front again. Kudos to management and courtesy of the staff.

Some of the best greens on long island. I'd say 15 of the 18 greens were near perfect. Really fast and well kept.

If you enjoy waiting 10 minutes minimum between shots and a 6 hour round this is the place for you. Course is honestly in good condition but there’s no Ranger out there to speed up pace of play. Spacing out the tee times by 8 minutes isn’t going to cut it. Take your money elsewhere.

The staff was very helpful and friendly, the down side was no logo hats or balls BUT, after talking to the starter/Marshall about that, one of them brought me a Mill Pond logoed staff hat while we were playing the first hole. Great customer service

Nice course but couldn’t tee off on our tee time because there were no carts left and had to wait an extra 20 minutes to tee off. Then get to the turn at 630 with at least 100 golfers still on the course and the restaurant was completely locked down. Seems like they’re a course that just likes to jam up tee times and not care at all what happens after that. They made their money and don’t care what happens after that.

A comfortable and straightforward course that’s great for a relaxed round of golf. The staff are friendly, and the course is well-suited for beginners and intermediate players. Just be aware that in a few spots, the holes are quite close to one another, so a bit of caution is needed.
