What People Say

In summary

Mastick Woods Golf Course is appreciated for its well-maintained grounds, scenic park-style layout, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for beginners and families. The course offers a relaxed atmosphere with a mix of par 3 challenges and longer holes. However, some visitors have experienced issues such as slow pace of play, limited cart availability, and occasional staff rudeness, which can detract from the overall experience.

Mastick Golf Course is a true Cleveland gem — peaceful, scenic, and perfect for golfers of all levels. The course is beautifully maintained, with fairways that roll smooth and greens that play true. It’s got that classic park-style layout surrounded by trees, giving you a calm and relaxing vibe the whole round.

We celebrated our son's birthday with a round of Foot Golf. You play with the regular golfers so you need to stay aware as the 18 foot golf holes weave through and parallel to the 9 regular holes. It was a busy time of day (10am-noon), but the regular golfers were friendly and helpful. The Metropark staff was also friendly. Make sure to grab a Foot Golf score card from the club house since it has a diagram to guide you through the course. We had a splendid time. Thank you!

Quick and easy to book a tee time, that was about the only positive. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was a letdown. The starter was disorganized, failing to understand that our 2 golfer group included 2 golfers and 2 riders. He kept trying to assign our carts to another group who had also reserved a tee time. Pace of play was painfully slow. There was a group of 7 elderly women ahead of everyone on the course with open holes in front of them, and I personally watched one of them hit 4 consecutive shots a total of maybe 10 feet. By the time we hit the 3-hour mark on hole 7, we made…

Booked a tee time online, got there and was told no carts were available and we had to walk. Was caught by surprise when I heard this because it says nowhere on their website about this. Guy at the desk was going to charge us for walk as well… never seen a course do this or not have a cart path. Worker at the desk was getting smart with me saying “well there’s a big sign outside” referring to it saying no carts. He acted like I should’ve known this, like I said, not aware at all while booking online. Worker was not professional at all, only helpful thing he did was cancel my tee time. It would…

Great short course for beginners. No one is rushing you if you hacked the ball. No need to feel embarrassed.

Went there in the summer of 2023. Had to wait 30 minutes for a golf cart, which was a bad first impression for my lovely wife and her first-time golfing friend. The tee boxes had more dirt than a drought stricken farmland. The cart paths had more potholes than the streets of Baghdad. Go to Little Met instead and save yourself a Big headache!

Course is supposed to be laid back. The old dude / ranger was extremely rude like others had said. Only reason it’s a 2* review is because it was my gf’s first time golfing, and I chose this course because it’s not a very nice one but typically chill and laid back. The old dude forced us to play with 2 other people and was continually forcing players to speed up game play (maybe he wanted to get home early). We went to have a relaxing time and slow game play since it’s not a nice course (tee time was 330pm), and had the opposite experience. I guess we should’ve just played somewhere with go…

Decent track that is great for beginners. I found the prices to be a bit high for a short, 9-hole track. I would certainly recommend walking here as the cart fee is not worth it, especially with the course being so short. The ability to book a tee time online through the Metroparks is also nice, but sometimes feels as though your tee time doesn't matter when people just randomly show up. There is good and bad at Mastick, but mostly good.

Nice little course, good for the price and to get some strokes in but nothing fancy
