What People Say

In summary

Manakiki Golf Course is widely praised for its immaculate condition, challenging layout, and well-maintained greens, making it a standout in the Cleveland Metropark system. The course offers a unique design with elevation changes and mature trees, providing a fun yet demanding experience for golfers of all skill levels. While the staff is generally noted for their friendliness, some visitors have experienced slow pace of play and issues with overbooking, which can detract from the overall experience.

Played 7/6/25 here for the first time, nearly a 5 hour round. Pace of play was a bit slow. Other than that, course is a 5/5. I work at Avalon lakes currently and this course is in fantastic shape. Greens are rolling great, bunkers are in solid shape. Everything was nice and cut fairways, rough ext. l enjoyed the layout, challenging with blind shots and elevation changes for sure. We had a blast, and I definitely will return to play again. Congrats to the grounds crew for having the course in awesome shape.

Very impressive municipal golf course. The layout is challenging, but a lot of fun, and the course is very well maintained. Every hole is unique and the contour of the fairways offer a nice challenge. There’s a good amount of separation between holes, so it doesn’t feel crowded even though they stack up the tee times. Carts are nice, too. Do yourself a favor and grab an Italian Sausage at the turn. One of the best I’ve had.

Easily one of if not the best golf course in the metro park system. Be sure to book ahead asap as tee times fill up quickly. There is a driving range, no chipping area, there is a putting green. Well stocked pro shop, and a nice bar and grill for the turn. The back 9 is challenging and the showcase of the course in my opinion. Starters are very laid back and probably the nicest in the metro system. Highly recommend if you are in town or on the East side of town.

This is the way all golf courses should be. Just immaculate fairways , greens and bunkers . Changes in elevation make for some difficult shots for sure . If you want a challenging and very well maintained course , this is it ! Friendly staff and the superintendent and his staff do an excellent job !!🏌️‍♂️⛳️

Beautiful layout, each hole is unique in its own way. Greens were possibly the toughest I've played. All the employees here were very pleasant and treated you like you were someone special. Great place to play and very affordable.

The course was fantastic and in really good condition. Joe in the pro shop and the other employees made the check in process very easy. This is a course anyone can play because it’s challenging but fair and reasonable for every ability level. I will definitely recommend it to other golfers around Cleveland.

First time playing here and everything was great! I couldn't believe the conditions for this time of year. Driving past this place I thought it was fairly flat, but once you're out there every hole has elevation changes which makes it even more challenging and enjoyable. Definitely worth checking out and can't wait to go back!

Beautiful course in excellent shape for a city course. We played in November and the course was still in good condition. Nice design that is challenging enough without being too hard. Can be challenging to get a tee time so plan ahead.

What a gem... and it's a great value. I paid $62 (walking) and really enjoyed the layout. Rolling hills, mature trees, and signature Donald Ross greens.

One of the premier public courses in NE Ohio. Just pulling in you already get that "championship style" feel with a beautiful clubhouse. Standing on the first tee box, you can already see the quality of the course with perfectly flat tee boxes that are well groomed. As expected, since the legend himself Donald Ross created it... the layout makes great use of the terrain leading to some drop dead gorgeous holes and thought provoking shots. Course quality is amazing and definitely the best out of the metropark group.

Overbooked, overcrowded, overpriced, and some of the rudest staff I have ever encountered at a golf course. You deserve a 0. When people book tee times...they don't book them expecting to be paired with strangers. So instead of honoring the times that people take, this place will jam pack as many people as possible to collect as much coin as they can (shocker.) Want to have a nice solo round? Want to have a relaxing round with a friend you haven't seen in a while? Forget about it...because you're going to be paired with random people every time. We played here a few years back when it was $40…

We came up from Columbus and were really looking forward to playing here. We had come a few years ago and had a wonderful time. It's a beautiful Ross track. However, it wasn't much fun this time, 2:40 to play just 9 holes, painfully waiting on every shot. Thankfully the 2 groups in front of us only played 9 holes, so the back 9 was under 2 hours. It would have been 5 stars, but pace of play was unreasonable.
