Briardale Greens Golf Course

Road tripped from western PA to play Briardale Greens on a beautiful late summer morning. The course itself is very flat which is a nice change from the hills near Pittsburgh. There is a full service practice area and the stocked pro shop has a restaurant as well. Service in the shop was friendly and helpful. Some observations about the course. It does not play long so don’t hesitate to play the tips/blues if you can drive it 210+. The greens were in great shape, but hard and very fast. Pretty basic straight and open golf course. Good for beginners. Also has a driving range with mats and real grass, though the real grass is in pretty rough shape. Has a little restaunt and bar, a picnic pavilion, and 2 sand volleyball courts as well

Absolutely terrible today. 10:50 tee time booked almost 10 days ago. Zero notice was given that 2 “smaller” outings would be ahead of us. Asked to go off the back, that was a hard NO from the clubhouse. Tees off around 11:05, made it to #4 after 1.5 hrs. Had to ask for a ranger (starter) to intervene because a call to the clubhouse proved to be useless. Where’s the courtesy to at least warn other clients that they will be behind outings? Furthermore, Babbit Rd was under construction and was an absolute nightmare getting to and leaving the course. Zero warning of this, as well. My money is just…

Course is in awesome shape but this has got to be the poorest managed and paced course I’ve ever played. Tee time at 3:30pm…made the turn at 6:15pm with 3 slow foursomes in front of us…went to the clubhouse to get a refund for the back 9 and it was locked. So I’m out $44 for 9 holes. Even during the morning on the weekdays…horrible pace of play and bad placement of tee times. They’re only spaced 7 minutes apart. Something needs to be done about that. Positives: Pro shop was small but nice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Ample and convenient parking. Nice little pub. Negatives: Nice practice greens but no cups and no traps for sand practice. The driving range has the option of hitting off mats or "grass." However the grass area was 50% dirt and 50% crabgrass. I have no opinion on the course as I haven't played it.

Really a fun course to play for a variety of different skill levels. The layout varies, the course has minimal tree issues and with being close to the lake wind can play a factor. Was exciting to see the city has committed to renovating bunkers (not started yet). Clubhouse staff is friendly, and service is good.

Me and my little girls went to kick off the season. The staff is friendly, convenient and easy access. Excellent prices! Good course for us beginners.

Havent played here in 40 years. Was pleasantly surprised. Great condition and the greens were fabulous. Rolled true and with nice speed. Perfect course for seniors, beginners and higher handicappers. Blue are around 6050 yds. Whites are around 5720. Seniors tees are around 5580. Not a course for big bombers. But if you hit it 170 to 215 off tee, the perfect course. Clubhouse has a nice selection of beers and booze. Food is good. People are better. Definitely well worth playing and we will be back.

I’ve never met more kind staff at a golf course. Better than private country clubs! The bartenders are attentive as are the cart servers. Best greens you will find in Northeast Ohio! The course is in great condition and brand we golf carts. Lastly, I can’t say enough about the food. Their every day chefs have the best bar food I’ve had and the catering staff does a wonderful party. Not to mention the little dog that amhanga around sometimes- I come just to see Gus sometimes! All around best golf course in Cuyahoga County!

Charity Golf Outing for around 50 people, scramble, shotgun. Not many courses allow for shotguns anymore. Thankfully this course did. Carts are well maintained. Banquet Room was large enough for this group, but no more than that.

Great place, scored a great deal on the Golf Now app and couldn't be happier with the booking. Great clubhouse and staff, excellent course In good condition. A few tees were beat up but its expected on the par 3s. Greens were great and fast, fairways are nice and groomed with the rough fair. Would definitely like to see more attention to the traps but outside of that I recommend 100%

Course is fine, price was right. Overall, Good value.
